Ray Charles (1930-2004) led one of the most extraordinary lives of any popular musician. In Brother Ray, he reveals his life story unsparingly, from the chronicle of his musical development to his heroin addiction to his tangled romantic life.

The book pretty much followed the movie, which was excellent. I enjoyed his candor and it made me feel as if I knew him. After listening to the book, it made me see things in a different light. Very good reading....

With The Interruption of Everything, her sixth novel, Terry McMillan takes on the fault lines of mid-life and family life, reminds us once again of the redeeming power of friendship, and turns her eye toward the dilemma of how a woman starts to put her own needs higher on the to-do list while not shortchanging everyone else.

    A User says: "Excellent"
    "Hard to get through"
    Overall

The storyline was so predictable and boring. I really didn't enjoy the book at all. I was expecting more from Terry McMillan, probably based on her recent experience. I will be a little more relunctant to get another book from this author.
