It began with stories of undead Taliban rampaging through Afghan villages, and faster than anyone could have anticipated, the darkness spreads through the world. In a world laid waste by this new terror, four unlikely companions have been thrown together: a 17-year-old boy dealing with the loss of his family; a US Navy SEAL trying to get back home; an aging, lonely writer with no one to live for; and a young girl trying to keep her three-year-old brother safe.

Jeremy Bishop's first pulse-pounding novel is a horrific tale of post-apocalyptic terror that is one part zombie story and one part Dante's Inferno. The story asks hard questions and generates strong emotions in everyone who reads it--anger, excitement, and most of all: FEAR. This book asks the question that everyone is afraid to answer: Are you ready? Enter the mind of Jeremy Bishop if you dare. Share his nightmares. Experience the fear that shaped his life. You may never be the same.

There is an old, empty house in Devil's Cleave, a deep gorge that leads from the high moors down to the harbour village of Hollow Bay. The house is Crickley Hall and it's large and grim, somehow foreboding. It's rumoured to be haunted. It's thought to hold a secret. Despite some reservations, the Caleighs move in, searching for respite in this beautiful part of North Devon, seeking peace and perhaps to come to terms with what's happened to them as a family. But all is not well with the house....

Where does The Secret of Crickley Hall rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well I couldnt stop listening till the end and thats a good book to me. Once I got over the annoying fathers attitude , but he came right after a while .There's alot of inner mind thinking by the characters which actually helps the story at first i thought it would hinder the flow of the book. A true ghost story with a good ending.
