Professional “cleaner” Jonathan Quinn has a new client and an odd job: find and remove the remains of a body hidden 20 years ago inside the walls of a London building, before the building is demolished. But Quinn and his team are being watched. Suddenly caught in the cross fire between two dangerous rivals, Quinn must unravel the identity of the body and why it still poses so great a threat even in death.

The author really seems to hit his stride with this installment. I have really enjoyed the character development as this series has unfolded. The chemistry and banter among the characters is so entertaining. I would recommend this series although you may have to struggle through book 2 due to the deviation in narrators. Brick does a great job (as usual) with the narration.

The author did a really nice job of taking you through the characters' (all of them) personal journeys of self discovery. I loved the gradual changes and slight shifts in attitude and found myself smiling, laughing and at times crying and it was pretty hard to shut this one off. If you liked "The Art of Racing in the Rain" you will love this book!

Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

I put off reading this at first but, buying my first iPhone, then iPad, I became more and more curious about the innovation and pure simplicity behind the products. Steve was truly a visionary and a monumental jerk all at the same time. I find it fascinating that the folks with which he was the most brutal are the ones that look back and credit him with pushing them to achieve higher than they ever imagined. Mr. Isaacson did a seamless job of weaving the story together and telling it from all sides. Dylan Baker did a fine job narrating as well.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

The reviews I read on this book convinced me to buy it and so glad I did. I enjoyed it from beginning to end especially the character interaction. The witty dialogue between them reminded me of Dean Koontz's "Tic Toc". Loved the narrator too and will look for more of him.

This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

In this wry take on the post-apocalyptic horror novel, a pandemic has devastated the planet. The plague has sorted humanity into two types: the uninfected and the infected, the living and the living dead. Now the plague is receding, and Americans are busy rebuilding civilization under orders from the provisional government based in Buffalo. Their top mission: the resettlement of Manhattan.

I really wanted to like this book. Rarely have I struggled this much to get through an audio book. The story is all over the place and I found myself just not caring what happened to the characters as I never became invested. This author's style is just not for me, if you decide to buy this audio book don't listen while driving.
