Everyone in the small town of Central City, Texas, loves Lou Ford. But behind the platitudes and glad-handing lurks a monster the likes of which few have ever seen. In The Killer Inside Me, Thompson goes where few novelists have dared to go, giving us a pitch-black glimpse into the mind of the American Serial Killer years before Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy, and Brett Easton Ellis's American Psycho.

Ron says: "Much better than those ratings indicate."

A chilling look into the mind of a serial killer. It had me hooked from the beginning. This is a "must listen" for anyone who enjoys a psychological thriller. The performer was spot on and at times gave me chills.

Fifteen-year-old Christopher Boone has Asperger's Syndrome, a condition similar to autism. He doesn't like to be touched or meet new people, he cannot make small talk, and he hates the colors brown and yellow. He is a math whiz with a very logical brain who loves solving puzzles that have definite answers.

Robert says: "Endearing. Pathos, humor, reality, and insight."
    "Loved it! Engaging and humorous."

I've with people on the autism spectrum/Asperger's and this was such an accurate snapshot of how they relate to the world.

I've read this author before and loved her books so purchased this one. However, I maintained interest in the story with difficulty because it moved so slowly.

Six years have passed since Jake Fisher watched Natalie, the love of his life, marry another man. Six years of hiding a broken heart by throwing himself into his career as a college professor. Six years of keeping his promise to leave Natalie alone, and six years of tortured dreams of her life with her new husband, Todd. But six years haven’t come close to extinguishing his feelings, and when Jake comes across Todd’s obituary, he can’t keep himself away from the funeral. There he gets the glimpse of Todd’s wife he’s hoping for...but she is not Natalie....

Richard Delman says: "Mr. Coben has gotten waaaay too popular."
    "What happened, Harlan?"

I've read many Harlan Coben books and have thoroughly enjoyed them ALL. So I was extremely disappointed in his last offering. This is the first time his work has bored me. Based on his former work, I'll continue to purchase his books. But this book left me very unsatisfied.
