I really loved this story. The characters were all believable, and I was truly entertained.
I don't know, since I haven't read the print version. However, I purchased this after my mom recommended the print version to me. I think it was special to have the author read the story herself, though.
I enjoyed the humor.
I loved hearing the author's own inflections and expressions. I feel it added a lot to the story.
No, too long. It didn't take me very long to finish it, though.
Great story. My first Fannie Flagg, but definitely not my last.
Yes, but only if they enjoy the medieval genre. Lots of terms that might be confusing. I recommend downloading the glossary they discuss at the beginning of the book.
I really enjoyed this narrator. He did all the voices very well.
I especially enjoyed the thread regarding the falcon and falconry in general. Very interesting.
The story was fast-paced, and I was surprised that it was over as soon as it was, considering the over-all length. I'll definitely be getting the sequel.
No. This was the dumbest "regency" romance I ever listened to. If the author wishes to write in this genre, she should study it more. The idea that a "princess" would be left unattended and visit the home of a single male is preposterous and totally unbelievable.
Do more research in the genre.
The narration was adequate.
This was a waste of my time and my credit.
This is one of my favorite books from my nearly nine years as an audible member. I love Nick Brannigan. This story takes some hilarious turns and pulls you in. The narrator is great, and you'll love it. I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this book. I have read several of Nora Roberts' books, and liked most of them, so I was prepared to like this one. I believe it's one of her better ones. I liked the characters, and it stayed interesting to the end. At the end, I wanted to go out and buy a chocolate lab.
I kept waiting for this book to get interesting, and it never did. The characters were mildly interesting at first, but there were too many of them, and the book never really went anywhere. I really didn't like the grown-up Henry, and actually had a hard time listening to the end, which is unusual for me. Not really worth the credits.
I had this in my Wish List for quite awhile, and couldn't decide if I really wanted it. I'm glad I finally got it; it was really great. I loved all the characters, and the way they were presented. The story flowed in a logical way to an ending I hadn't figured on, and way too soon. I found myself wanting to really get to know these folks. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this book. I haven't listened to any of the others in this series, but it stands well on its own. The narrator is good, too.
I have enjoyed other books by this author, but I didn't even finish listening to this one. I waited for it to get better, but it never did. Don't waste a book credit on this.
