I really loved this story. The characters were all believable, and I was truly entertained.
No. This was the dumbest "regency" romance I ever listened to. If the author wishes to write in this genre, she should study it more. The idea that a "princess" would be left unattended and visit the home of a single male is preposterous and totally unbelievable.
Do more research in the genre.
The narration was adequate.
This was a waste of my time and my credit.
This is one of my favorite books from my nearly nine years as an audible member. I love Nick Brannigan. This story takes some hilarious turns and pulls you in. The narrator is great, and you'll love it. I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this book. I have read several of Nora Roberts' books, and liked most of them, so I was prepared to like this one. I believe it's one of her better ones. I liked the characters, and it stayed interesting to the end. At the end, I wanted to go out and buy a chocolate lab.
I kept waiting for this book to get interesting, and it never did. The characters were mildly interesting at first, but there were too many of them, and the book never really went anywhere. I really didn't like the grown-up Henry, and actually had a hard time listening to the end, which is unusual for me. Not really worth the credits.
I had this in my Wish List for quite awhile, and couldn't decide if I really wanted it. I'm glad I finally got it; it was really great. I loved all the characters, and the way they were presented. The story flowed in a logical way to an ending I hadn't figured on, and way too soon. I found myself wanting to really get to know these folks. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this book. I haven't listened to any of the others in this series, but it stands well on its own. The narrator is good, too.
I have enjoyed other books by this author, but I didn't even finish listening to this one. I waited for it to get better, but it never did. Don't waste a book credit on this.
I really enjoyed this book. I have spent much time thinking about the premise since listening to it. I keep wondering how I would cope with the sudden loss of all "conveniences". I think we all need to be reminded sometimes of the need to remember what's really important. The main character was pretty annoying, but I liked the book, anyway. I'll probably read more by this author.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well-developed, and the research was excellent. It kept you wondering until the very end. It made me see much more clearly the agony and heartache the victims of 9/11 went through. Living in the Midwest, I sympathized, but never really felt their pain. This book took me there. We need more Christian fiction of this caliber.
