Yes, it is your typical highland romance with a happy ending. It is a series so naturally you have to find out about the other brothers. Comparing this to Ian it is a little bland but again those Scot's know how to love!
The discovery of what had been burned in the attic...
I loved her in Ian's book and she is just as strong this time around...
Again probably what was burned in the attic. The ending was pretty moving too, summing up what was happening with the family up until now!
There's four, starting with Ian MacKenzie.
This listen was a little too tame for me. Very much like other NR books I've listened to without the ghosts and spirits. I did love the narrator, she has a very sexy male voice which I haven't encountered much.
This was your usual Highland Romance with a bit of intrigue but what made it unique was the wonderful narration. Sometimes a good, authentic, male narration will do wonders for the story and Mr. Perkins did just that! This is about 4 Highlanders, friends since youth, their trials and finding love. This was #1 so there is a lot of character introduction but I plan to continue on with the series to see what happens with other three!
I just love this series and considering the ending there is more to come. The narrator, for me, has made these characters come to life! Great job!
This is #2 of the series and I loved it. Spooky and ghostly, perfect for Halloween! Amelia can see ghosts and she restores cemeteries and now we know why. This is the story of her birth plus a little evil in the mix. Beautiful southern narration, Amelia lives in Charleston.
These books have all been soooooo good! There's a storyline, plot, love, romance and ALOT of the p and f words. I love that all the main characters recur throughout the series and the narration is just phenomenal! I hope #4 is not the end of the series!
I enjoyed this listen but it was quite dull during much of the story. The unique ending made up for that. I felt cheated, getting the best part of the story when it was over. The narrator sounded like a radio dj to me, I didn't like him but he was tolerable.
If you like to listen to all types of sex acts this is the listen for you. This story is 99% sex. I like to listen but I do like a little plot with my sex. #2 sounds like it has some substance and I look forward to following their story. This narrator, for me, was ok, she sounded forced in some of her characters. This was the education of Brie and I may have learned a thing or two as well.
A fierce and brave Cat and a loving and tender Bones with a ghost as the enemy! Good story, fabulous narration and on to #7!
It took me days to finish this listen, so sad and painful it was. I loved the story and could hardly wait 'til the end but it's intense and sad storyline had me taking frequent breaks. The narrator is British and is wonderful, I could visualize this story while she read. This is one of the rare books I have come across that did not have a happy ending. I am glad I chose this book, fiction that can play havoc with your emotions like this one did mine is worth the pain and sadness I endured.
This is not playing at BDSM, this is the real thing, so if you are skiddish keep that in mind. I enjoyed the listen, I still have a lot of questions about the lifestyle but learned a lot. This listen is extremely erotic and has a lot of explicit sex. The story is not pretend, it is this woman's journey through the BDSM world. The narrator was very monotone and I think this was meant to be but I didn't really like it, it was tolerable though. I will listen to #2.
