"Interesting story - well developed characters"
Characters and story length
Tucker - he was flawed enough to be interesting, but still a good person
Strong male characters - females can sound whiny at times, though
Prepare to be surprised
"Timely interesting story line. Good Narration"
Nothing per se. It was average quality. Worth the credit but nothing I'll 'read' again.
Unremarkable. By the time it ended I was getting a little bored with it.
I think she captured the essence of the character well.
No
"Seriously annoying narration quirks"
No. Payoff doesn't match the time investment.
Someone who doesn't deliver every sentence in the same meter and end it with the same rise in tone no matter the message.
Nope
"infinitely SLOW - poor production quality"
No. I am half way through this book and very little has happened. Also, I am tiring of the 'tin can" quality of the sound.
Tighten it up. I feel there is far too much description and not enough plot.
the Emotion is ok. I don't like the sound quality of the voice, though.
Bail and find a better book.
"Respectable Evanovich knock-off"
Story = slightly better than average; Delivery also better than avg.
Charley - she is a refreshing change from victimized female characters so prevalent in fiction these days.
Hard to say. To me is sounded exactly like the Evanovich characters of Stephanie, Lula and Ranger. Not a bad thing. This book was ALMOST on parr with Evanovich when she was good. (I don't remember any LOL moments in this book, though)
No - but it was great listening for daily walks.
Would recommend to Evanovich fans.
"BORING"
I've forced myself to listen to this for hours and I am calling it a day. To Slow. The writing is clever once in a while. But the story itself just isn't going anywhere.
Possibly told from a different perspective
I think the delivery is great
the narrator
Don't waste your credit
"Kind of a let-down."
Story seemed kind of choppy to me. The teaser alluded to the villian 'stealing' characters from literary masterpieces, which I thought sounded interesting, that didn't even enter the plot until we were halfway through the story. Maybe the series grows on you as you go along?
"Not nearly as funny as its teaser copy implies."
I'm half way through this book and not sure I'll be able to finish it. I use audiobooks to entertain me on 8-mile runs and the 'over acting' on this one is more than a little evident/annoying. The characters are quirky to be sure, but outside of that, the story line hasn't had much to offer. On the up side, at least this one wasn't very expensive. My summary: Odd doesn't necessarily = interesting. Skip Jitters.
"Yikes!"
The first narrator was SO bad I couldn't believe it. The gentleman is better but seems to keep making the same point over and over...and over. I cannot bring myself to listen anymore.
"Well done"
I chose this book solely because I liked the narrator's work so much on The Help. This piece was equally well done and the story was captivating with a nice variety of interesting characters. Well worth the credit.
