Maybe it's me, but the plot wasn't much and easy to figure out -- the cops looked like idiots -- one major clue was obvious to a middle school kid -- and the soap opera -- which was used to stuff the book -- was repetitive and DULL.
Have read many.of her books. This is not up to her usual standards. Overall disappointing
Don't try accents you really can't do. Just read the book straight. The Cajun accent wasn't easy to listen to either
Interesting look at history - our hero is a bit boring and the story just went on and on - I stuck to it only because I paid for it - no real passion or excitement.
the love affair is taking on the characteristics of totally uninteresting -- the set up for the break up sounds like high school -- the mis-information continues and continues. I have liked other books in this series but this wasn't one of them. Overall disappointing.
I have an autistic sibling and thought the portrayal of the handicapped brother was right on - in terms of the lack of socilazing skills - I know they said he was schizo but he was so like Asberger's people. That said - I've read other Barclay books and he does have a way to hook you! The story told by multiple view points and at different times, made for a good listen!
A bit too obvious - people are a bit too complacent with the evil ones! The main characters are great! I got caught up in them and would most certainly give this series another chance.
Typical sappy romance novels. But that's what you read them for: sex and sap.
Ms. Flosnik has an annoying habit of extending the ends of words - for drama? - who knows - not much plot - basically sex scenes strung together with hard to believe events.
Our hero never looses a battle - our leading lady charms everyone and turns the place upside down by cleaning up the place.
I was surprised at how well written this was - the Bronte religious background shows - The "however" is that our hero seems kind of creepy at times - somewhat selfish and self-serving.
