The book was all mystery. No detailed description of sex. No supernatural beings of any kind . It involves one primary mystery and lots of minor ones. It is not apparent "Who Done It". You really have to think about the puzzles I will definitely listen to or read any future books by Rachel Abbott..

The killer's methods are terrifying. He stalks the basements and underground passageways of New York City. He tattoos his victims' flesh with cryptic messages, using a tattoo gun loaded with poison, resulting in an agonizing, painful death. When a connection is made to the Bone Collector - the serial killer who terrorized New York more than a decade ago - Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs are immediately drawn into the case.

I read and enjoyed other books in this series. Therefore I kept thinking this had to get better. If I was really interested in learning in depth details about different kinds of poisons, I would have listened to or read a textbook. The story could have been interesting.

I was ready to give up on this book in the first hour. It read like a text book on bacteria. I am really glad I didn't as it turned out to be one of the best books I have listened to in a long time.

If you could sum up Trial Junkies in three words, what would they be?

I had never heard of the author and was afraid it would be another dud but I had ran out of books to listen to so I took a chance. It was really good. I hope the rest of his books are offered by Audible.

What did you like best about this story?

    Suspense.

Have you listened to any of Eric Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure. I seldom look at names of narrators.

Where does The House at Sea's End rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Have no idea since I have listened to 1,076 since Audible first came on line but nearer the top than bottom. All of the other auther's books average ratings were 4 not 1 or 2 and there were more than 2 ratings. This was a very good book. There must be an mistake somewhere.

One of America’s most popular authors, Jodi Picoult has earned a reputation for crafting riveting, topical fiction. In House Rules she examines how being different can have dire consequences. Teenager Jacob Hunt has Asperger’s syndrome. A forensic science wizard, he follows his scanner to show up at crime scenes and give law enforcement officials his advice.

This is one of the best books I have ever read or listen to. I usually read murder mysteries so I wasn't sure about this one. I decided to try it and stayed up all night last night finishing it. One of the few books I couldn't put down.

Even better than some of Robin Cook's older books. I guess being able to predict the ending doesn't bother me much or I would give up reading mysteries all together. I enjoy the ride not just getting to the destination.

Disillusioned journalist Tom Langdon must get from Washington to L.A. in time for Christmas. Forced to take the train across the country because of a slight "misunderstanding" at airport security, he begins a journey of self-discovery and rude awakenings, mysterious goings-on and thrilling adventures, screwball escapades and holiday magic.

Carol L. Riegel says: "Great Book"
    "Great Book"
    Overall

I read and listen to books avidly but seldom feel strongly enough about a book to write a review. This one is an exception. I love long distance trains and ride as often as possible. I have ridden the Capital Limited and Southwest Chief many times and I have "met" all the passengers in the book at one time or another. Only someone who rides long distance trains would know how realistic the descriptions and situations are. The Amtrak crews in the book are true to life. The back ground sounds in the Audible book are realistic. They must have been taped at the actual stations and on board the trains. If you have ridden the long distant trains this book should bring back some memories, if not, it may inspire you to take a trip just for the experience.
