I am a business owner, and an avid book reader. Because I don't have time to sit down with a book like I used to do, Audible has been a blessing! I listen when I travel, when I'm working, or just trying to relax. It's a great experience.

Short-Straw Bride finds Meredith Hayes struggling to let go of her childhood crush on Travis Archer - the strapping young lad who saved her as a little girl. With a sensible proposal from the eligible Roy Mitchell on the table, it’s time for her to move on. But when Meredith overhears a plot to drive Travis and his brothers off their coveted land, she has no choice but to intervene.

Would you consider the audio edition of Short-Straw Bride to be better than the print version?

Absolutely! Pilar Witherspoon is a fabulous reader. She makes the story come alive.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Short-Straw Bride?

There were a lot of "great" moments, but I loved the part where Meredith finds the Archer brothers drawing straws to see who would marry her.

    Story
What made the experience of listening to To Win Her Heart the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the story line, and also the narrator's dramatization. The hero was human enough to have made mistakes, which made the story totally believable. The heroine was great.

What other book might you compare To Win Her Heart to and why?

Dear Lady, from Robin Lee Hatcher. She has the same way of unfolding a story to make you believe you are right there.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am a skim reader, and miss so much when I read. She not only dramatizes it well, but also is a very competent narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the Sheriff tries to force Levi into a fight. I was so angry! Thankfully, another hero comes in and saves the day!

    Any additional comments?

This is a book well worth reading. Anyone who has made mistakes in their past, there is always hope, and a future. That fact is emphasized through Levi's life. Eden had to become mature enough to learn not to judge someone because of their past, but to judge them by who they are today.
