"Good romp!!!"
Topp 10
The Fight scenes, of course!!
He makes Good voices and brings it to life
HELL YES
Get It!!
"Not blown away....As I was after the first install"
Well...Honestly can't say, it's not bad by any means but I just don't really know!
As always Mr Cole do the action segments really well, so any one of those.
The siege scenes!
IMHO, this installment never reached the suspence levell of the first. If that depends on that I read the first and listened to the second I can't say for sure! The narrator was so-so i.e No William Dufris!
Also I had a tough time getting engrossed in the book, not as much action and suspence.
I will state that in the second half it picks up and I got the "groove" going again!
I will still get the third book cause even though I was a bit disapointed, it's still much better than most of the other Mil Sci-Fi stuff out there.
"Shows promise!"
In the topp 3rd. It has some promise and I think that if the author polish up on the plot and worldbuilding a bit, maybe flush out the characters somewhat. Because the action bit is good stuff. Will buy the second installment
I like that you are kept guessing about what our guy with the flail will do next and how.
The action segments were the best
There was some dark humor in it, but the best was the suspence of the elite commando stuff. Some intricate(in a good way) twists in the planing of the ops the unit did.
The Narrator had a killer voice! Mr Chung did a fine job:)
"Superb story!"
Among the topp ten
All of it! Its a rollercoaster, that takes you through the whole spektra of emotions.
He brings to life a very wide range of distinct of characters and with his tune and modulation he brings sorrow, thrills or action alive.
Hell yeah!
Get it! Get it, now!
"Full mark on everything....except the length!"
Well, I listen on my way to and from work and that gives me time to thoroughly enjoy my commute every day. That would not be possible with the hard copy.
When in doubt, blame the dark elves!
All of it! It has everything, action, suspence and above all a Butcher approach to humor.
When our druid learns that Leif " The Bad ass vampire" may have played him all along! Brrr.... the feeling of betrayal is as palaptable as yesterdays laundry.
The length,Good sir! The novell are just to damn short! I think Mr Hearne could have given us a couple of chapters more of Atticus. I would have given 5 stars overall, had it been longer!
