Saint-Sauveur Cathedral of Aix-en-Provence is an ancient structure of many secrets -a perfect monument to fill the lens of a celebrated photographer, and a perfect place for the photographer's son, Ned Marriner, to lose himself while his father works. But the cathedral isn't the empty edifice it appears to be. Its history is very much alive in the present day - and it's calling out to Ned...

Where does Ysabel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I wasn't sure about this book based on some of the reviews, but I was surprised to find it to be pretty good. The storyline was different and interesting. The characters were fun and believable.

What does Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love Kate Reading. It was strange to hear her reading something other than WOT.

What did you love best about Red Country?

As in his other books, Abercrombie gives you a story that really draws you in. It's great to see strong female characters that knows how to hold their own .

An author whose previous, wildly successful novels have earned him a reputation as fantasy's master of magic, Brandon Sanderson continues to dazzle audiences with this tale of princesses and gods. In this extraordinary world, those who attain glory return as gods. And those who can master the essence known as breath can perform the most wondrous miracles - or unleash the most devastating havoc.

Well.... this was not what I was expecting from the man who wrote Mistborn and The Way of Kings. It was just empty. The characters were flat and uninteresting. The story line was interesting at first but was not developed completely and fell flat. Maybe if I would have read the book first, I may have gotten more out of it because the narration really ruined this story for me. I found it hard to believe in a God who sounded like a good friend of Bill and Ted. I was waiting for him to say something was "narley" or he wanted to "catch some waves, dude!" What a disappointment.
