"And it all started in the laundry room!"
No seriously ...
Who thought laundry rooms could change your view of everything ...
Yeah Dryers?
I am a complete Nerd, right down to my Star Wars references. I understand Maddie's obsession with scoring high on all tests no matter what the title. Also, I am a huge Mike Peterson fan from the start. She is infatuated with Cullin Slater and the object of helping her increase her score and get her career off the ground at the same time. The witty banter between Maddie and Mike kept me amused. But it was the intricate ways and descriptions of how she brought up her slut score that made me love .... OK lust for more. This is a nice piece of junk food that will inspire you to increase your slut score too!
Geeks Rule ... Just Saying
"Modern Day Fairytale"
The first couple chapters were rough ... but if you can make it through, the rest of the book is completely worth it. So incredibly funny ... I laughed so hard through out. Seriously, there is something great about a modern day fairy tale that is full of Witt and sarcasm. I truly enjoyed Becky's relationship with her best friend Rocher... Gosh everyone needs a friendship like that... Best comedic timing! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a fun read.
"Awful!"
Awful! I think that books should have a good plot and characters that make you want to invest your time in. Seriously ... I just put the book down and walked away. So disappointing, since the beginning of the book was well written and seemed to have all the making of a great erotic romance... But it was not worth wasting my time trying to get why Chloe kept going back and forth. Moving on to my next book and not looking back.
"Intense, Smart, WOW"
From the beginning, the relationship between Boss and Intern are intense without the sex involved. I love books with strong women and Chloe did not let me down. She had confidence, fire and brilliance all at once. Bennett's need for a confident women, left me breathless. I have been through the book twice and will be on my list to revisit in the future. I actually wish the book would have had a few more chapters ... As it left me wanting more.
"Don't understand the hype"
Only made it to the 5th chapter and stopped. Did not find it interesting and really didn't enjoy anything about it. All my girlfriend loved this book ... I don't think it was worth the credit I used.
"Watch who you trust"
I loved the characters, I loved the book. Got it on a BOGO special totally worth the price. This book looks at magic from a fresh perspective and how one person's greed can destroy a family and everything around them. But purity and love always create the best magic. (I loved the bunny ... and the crane.) Did I mention there is a love affair in all of this. Great writing and was beautifully brought to life by Amanda Ronconi. It is on my second listen list.
Love this book it was so cute! I love blue squares of linoleum.
"Sarcasm and spell casting... Can I get more please"
I really enjoyed the Dark Elite series. Something about boarding schools that always makes me think of witches, cults, vampires, etc. This one captures all of that and adds a werewolf to boot. Lily is such a normally sarcastic teenager that would probably just being hanging with her BFF Scout in their dorm room... But they are not normal teens and they are always setting off on adventures. This adventure leads straight to more trouble and that is where all the fun begins.
I am disappointed that this is the last book in the series. I was really hoping to find out what happens next.
"Such intensity needs an outlet!"
I love this book ... I think it was better than the first book Legacy. There is something about Rhys that draws me in even when he was not the main character in the first book. I wish though that the adventures would never end. I could really see this series as a a great television show that I would tune in every week to see where they would go next. I can't wait to meet Sebastian!
"Espionage, Revenge and betrayal ... and more"
From the last few books, I have loved Simon Quinn. He is a good man and he is always willing to fight for what he believes in. Lysette is stuck in a situation that she has no control over and no memory past two years. This book has to be the best mystery/ adventure of the series. I was caught up in the espionage and wanted to know everything about the families and what was going to happen next. This book is work the listen too, but if you are only interested in the sex, this book carries more weight on the plot than the exploits. But there is the same chemistry and intense love affair that you would find in Sylvia's books.
I enjoyed every minute of this book. I have listened to it more than once now and is on my read again list. I have to say that Justine Eyre's ability to perform in many accents and provide such emotion through the words is truly a gift. She is one of my favorite narrator. Thanks to Sylvia Day and Justine Eyre for their brilliant collaboration.
"More than just fantastic sex!"
Listening to the twist and turns of their love affair made me wish that the book was longer ... Just so you enjoy the two of their banter and intense love. Christopher had truly met his match in Maria. I love how powerful and confident Maria is. She is such a likable character you really want her to gain control of her life. She is fearless and willing to do whatever it takes to free her sister. From the last book (Ask For It), you know that Christopher is a fierce pirate who has nothing to loose, since his brother was killed. He however takes care of his people building great loyalty. The two provide such intensity, I am amazed that the pages do not catch on fire. I also enjoyed the innocent love story of Colin and Amelia, which contrast and accents Maria and Christopher's relationship. But Simon Quinn has to be one of my favorite characters. Nothing can hold that Irishman down. I look forward to the next book in the series.
"All my favorite Fairytales rolled into one..."
I am a sucker for a good Fairytale. This book was very kid friendly as I listened to it with my 12 and 9 yr old. I enjoyed how the fairy tales that we know and love are rolled together into one story. Sunday is an amazing character and is fearless when it comes to loving her family. It is only when she meets the prince that she struggles with her willingness to love and her commitment to her family.
Seven Daughters to a seventh daughter ... Seven Days of the week and fairies all around.
What a great adventure... I would have given it more stars, but it was written so that it was more the speed of a preteen. I thought the Narrator performed the parts well, but it took me a while to get used to how she phased the passages.
