This is one of my favorite stories in the BDB series. However I was frustrated by the long pauses in the audio book. Many were in between chapters, while others were at random points in the text.
I am not sure why JR Ward added the epilogue to this book, as it was so out of place (20 months later) when the next book takes up before this epilogue.
I was so glad that this book included the stories for so many characters. I'm eagerly awaiting the continuation of all that was hinted at for the future.
My only complaint would be that some names were pronounced differently in this audiobook -same narrator-so why?
This is one of my favorite books in the series. I think it is because you learn so much about a variety of characters w/o taking away from Phury's story.
It also makes it clear that no matter how perfect a life seems there are always battles we must endure that make us who we are.
This book grabbed me right from the beginning and had me racing through the last quarter of the book. I neglected both work and home until it was finished. I was/am a big Scooby Doo fan, so I loved all the inside jokes. I will definitely be reading more books by Peter Cline. Ray Porter did an outstanding job bringing the characters to life for me. I wanted to be part of the gang.
