"Wonderful! I loved it!!"
The love the Arcane Society novels and this is another great addition. The characters are wonderful and I love the way Amanda Quick gave up brief updates on some of the characters from other novels...great continuity. I can't wait for the next book. Keep them coming
"Wonderful!!"
This audiobooks ranks in the top tier of audiobooks I have listened to over the years. I planned to listen to this book over several days and finished it in one day because I could the storyline and performance were outstanding.
The characterizations of Elizabeth/Abigail. She seems so real.
The scene in which Abigail decided to tell the chief of police her story. He was so patient and very human.
I laughed out loud at the scene when the chief surprised Abigail when she was asleep on the sofa and she awoke and punched him. Their entire conversation afterwards was so funny.
This was my first time listening too an audiobook narrated by Julia Whelan and was a little reticent because I LOVE Ann Flosnik. Julia was fantastic and I look forward to hearing more of her.
"Love it or hate it"
I should have listened to the other reviewers...ugh and I listened to the bitter end...30 hours! Creative plot which drug on and on. Too many "Perils of Pauline" escapes and the repeated, detailed torture of a loved husband let me bewildered and wondering why this is a "romance"!! An abridged version is definitely needed in the worse way
"Surprise Find"
I stumbled on this novel while looking for a religious novel to listen to while traveling. While this is novel is not a religious novel in the strictest sense, it is a wonderful listen. Kingsolver has done her homework and while this is a fictional account of events in Africa, the events rivet you to the story. I very seldom want to re-listen to a novel, but I would listen to The Poisonwood Bible again. I am now looking for other Kingsolver publications.
"Simply Wonderful"
After I struggled through Simply Unforgetable I decided to give the series one more chance with the high ratings for this novel. I loved it! It was fast paced and the plot moved quickly. I highly recommend and believe you can skip #1 without any loss of storyline.
"Wonderful, absolutely wonderful"
I saw this book laying on someone desk and became interested. I had a long overseas flight and needed a good book. I made the mistake to starting to listen before I left. I could not stop. Thankfully I had some of the 32 hours left for the flight. You will not be disappointed.
"Loveable"
My first Balogh book and I glanced at the reviews, but wanted to read anyway as I was looking for a new historical romance author. Excellent story, but the reviews are true..it does draw on for 12 hours. I enjoyed the book and had the 12 hours. I wish there was an abridged version.
"Loved It"
This is the first book of a series with Tobias March and Eugenia. I absolutely loved this book and will return to it many times as one would a classic movie. I have gone on to read other books in the series, but love this as the first book that introduces the major characters.
