Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes but only for those who can take extreme tension and who like scary books.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cujo?

memorable is not a word i would use for cujo. scary is a better word. the scariest moment for me was when cujo got donna's leg and stomach. also when the dog killed the policeman, gary, and joe (whom i found unlikable--but no one deserves what happened to him)

    Which scene was your favorite?

favorite? another inappropriate word. the book is plain scary. maybe when chaity bought joe the chain pull (or what ever you call it) and then made the deal so she could visit her sister.

Who was the most memorable character of Cujo and why?

i know donna should be. but that mean guy joe comes to mind.

    Any additional comments?

it was pretty hard to read it was so tense. i had to read another book at the same time to break up the book. i wanted to hear the whole book...every word but i know i would not have been able to if i had not broken the tension once in a while.

seen the movie and read the book. i do know when i read the book i often skipped pages when it got too scary.

    it was a good read.

Which character – as performed by Heather Wilds – was your favorite?

    ALL WERE DONE VERY WELL.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I LIKED ALL THE DRAMATIC MOMENTS IN THE BOOK. AND I ENJOYED WHEN THE TREE PROTAGONISTS INTERACTED TOGETHER.

EVERY SINGLE BOOK BY LIANE HAS BEEN WONDERFUL. I WILL TRY HER NEXT BOOK WITHOUT QUESTION. I WILL READ THIS BOOK AGAIN.

Factoryville warmly welcomed their new neighbors, who seemed eager to fit in - at first. Soon, however, the Homeyers' pleasant disposition began to change. Anna, once highly visible and engaging, was rarely seen at all anymore, and Charles, who was always kind and neighborly, became distant and withdrawn. Local residents were baffled by their behavior. But their curiosity soon turned to suspicion when Anna Homeyer suddenly disappeared, leaving the town with a number of unanswered questions.

    VERY WELL READ

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

    TRUE CRIME HAS NOT TIDBITS.

    GOOD READER

If you could rename The Shawshank Redemption, what would you call it?

ABRIDGED VERSION OF MOVIE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTIOON

    Any additional comments?

I READ THIS STORY IN DIFFERENT SEASONS WHEN I COULD READ. THE STORY IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE MOVIE. STEVEN KING MUST WISH HE MADE IT A NOVEL INSTEAD OF A NOVELLA.

A vicious 15-year-old droog is the central character of this 1963 classic, a frightening fable about good and evil, and the meaning of human freedom. In Anthony Burgess' nightmare vision of the future, where the criminals take over after dark, the story is told by the central character, Alex, who talks in a brutal invented slang that brilliantly renders his and his friends' social pathology.

If you could sum up A Clockwork Orange in three words, what would they be?

    NOT PLAIN ENGLISH

Who was your favorite character and why?

    I HAD NO FAVE.

What does Tom Hollander bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

IT MUST BE HARD TALKING IN CODE ENGLISH. TOOK A WILE TO FIGURE THINGS OUT.

If you could take any character from A Clockwork Orange out to dinner, who would it be and why?

ALEX'S PARENTS AND ASK THEM WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO HAVE A SON LIKE ALEX THEY WERE AFRAID OF HIM.

    Any additional comments?

IT WOULD BE MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE WITH PLAIN ENGLISH. IT WAS QUITE VIOLENT. I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND WHY THESE KIDS WERE SO SADISTIC.

DIFFERENT MOMENTS IN THE STORY. NOT ONE PARTICULAR ONE.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I DON'T KNOW. HE WAS A GOOD READER.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

THERE WERE SOME "MYSTERIES" THAT WERE REVEALED TOO SOON. JUST WHEN THEY GOT ME INTERESTED THEY REVEALED WHT THE MYSTERY WAS. STILL I AM NOT SORRY I READ THIS BOOK.

    Any additional comments?

IT IS NOT A BOOK I RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE. BUT YOUNG PEOPLE WOULD LOVE IT. IF YOU LIKE FUTURISTIC STUFF YOU WOULD PROBABLY LIKE IT TOO.

Mildred Pierce had gorgeous legs, a way with a skillet, and a bone-deep core of toughness and determination. She used those attributes to survive a divorce in 1940s America with two children and to claw her way out of poverty, becoming a successful businesswoman. But Mildred also had two weaknesses: a yen for shiftless men and an unreasoning devotion to her monstrous daughter.

What other book might you compare Mildred Pierce to and why?

SISTER CARRIE. I GUESS BECAUSE SHE MADE HER WORLD FOR HERSELF. I ADMIRED BOTH PROTAGONISTS.

What about Christine Williams’s performance did you like?

YES I LIKED HER READING. CLEAR AND PLEASANT.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As police investigate what appears to have been a tragic accident, signs begin to indicate that this devastating death might have been cold-blooded murder. In this thought-provoking novel, number-one New York Times best-selling author Liane Moriarty deftly explores the reality of parenting and playground politics, ex-husbands and ex-wives, and fractured families.

Considered one of the great dystopian novels - alongside Anthony Burgess's A Clockwork Orange and Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World - Ira Levin's frightening glimpse into the future continues to fascinate listeners even 40 years after publication. The story is set in a seemingly perfect global society. Uniformity is the defining feature; there is only one language and all ethnic groups have been eugenically merged into one race called "The Family".

Ellen O’Farrell is a bit unusual. She’s a hypnotherapist. She’s never met her father. And she can’t seem to keep a relationship going. (Okay, that’s more normal that we want to admit.) When Ellen meets Patrick, she’s hopeful nevertheless. But when he says he needs to tell her something, she fears the worst. When Patrick reveals that his ex-girlfriend is stalking him, Ellen thinks, "Is that all?" She’s more intrigued than frightened. She’d love to meet her. What she doesn’t know is that she already has.

MAYBE. I THINK THE STORY WAS INTERESTING. DEPENDS ON THE STORYLINE.

What about Tamara Lovatt Smith’s performance did you like?

SHE WAS EASY TO LISTEN TO.

The tragic story of Susan Powell and her murdered boys, Charlie and Braden, is the only case that rivals the Jon Benet Ramsey saga in the annals of true crime. When the pretty, blonde Utah mother went missing in December of 2009 the media was swept up in the story - with lenses and microphones trained on Susan's husband, Josh. He said he had no idea what happened to his young wife, and that he and the boys had been camping in the middle of a snowstorm.

I DON'T KNOW IF THERE WERE WHAT YOU CALL MEMORABLE MOMENTS IN THIS BOOK. I GUESS WHEN THE QUIRKS IN JOSH'S AND STEVES PERSONALITIES STARTED BEING REVEALED.
