"Simply THE most eye-opening book I have ever read!"
I would and have reccomended this book to everyone I can... This book not only taught me about life as someone who is not sighted, it taught me about courage, fight and partnership. It made me laugh and it made me cry. It stirred feelings in me that made me rage and then it made me just feel content.
I could never pick just one. All that are spoken about are so interwoven that to pick one would not do them or the others any justice.
Since the book was read as a fist person narritive of the author, it's hard to answr this question.
It made me laugh, cry and want to fight everyone in this world who is ignorant or prejudice.
It has made me so very happy to have spent this time with Michael. Thank-you for sharing your story as well as that of Karen, Roselle, all of your friends and family, your dogs and the WTC! RIP to all that lost their lives!
"Another Great book by Katz"
Katz has a way of capturing and describing the scenes on his farm with his friends, visitors, family and beloved animals like no one else. I am mezmorized by every book, sad when they are done... And ready for the next.
Everything
He makes you forget that you are not listening to the author reading his own work!
All of Katz's books make you laugh, cry and everything else... They are just so real!
"Katz Does it AGAIN!!!!"
The fact that he entertains the thought that animals have souls, when most don't.
It's very hard not to like Katz's stories! They are about animals, real, funny and you just want more and more!
The feeling the author is intonating in his writing. It is sometimes hard to remember that it is not the author himself reading you the book or telling you the stories.
The title does just fine!
"One of my Favourite Books EVER!"
The fact that it was a mix of fact and story. (Not fiction but the story of Pukka and Ted). I learned so much from this and the way Ted bonds with the dogs in his life is pretty darned amazing, amusing and heartwarming.
All of them.
The scenes where Burley is stealing the balls from Pukka, AJ and Goo!
That the pet care industry doesn't always have your pets best intrest in mind!
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!
"Enjoyed!"
It was funny sarcastic, serious, suspensful! I loved it.
Andy of course. He was the funniest of all!
The way he reads the sarcasm is hillarious!
Not really but I really did enjoy it!
"Fully Enjoyed This Novel!"
I think it is up there. I wasn't too sure I usually listen to non-fiction but I bought it and listed and found myself really invested in the characters and wanting more when it ended... I have put her other book on my wish list.
The intermingling of the characters.
Megan. The Aussie. Too funny, no boundries! Loved her!
When Rachel realized she really was happy where she was and that Jem had become part of her life and that she was staying.
"Had me on the Edge of my Seat..."
I loved how the author understood dogs. I loved how she was worried that she would fail her dog. I loved the way they worked together and that she loved Puzzle!
I don't know I have never read anything else like this... Maybe THUNDER DOG!
"A man and a dog who just Loved Each Other too Much"
It's right up there. Writing about the hardest moment of your life is difficult but well Jon Katz did it superbly! I am going to read all of his books now...
When he just let Orson go.
Jon
It did make me cry. It made me laugh, it made me cringe, it made me imagine...
"The CUTEST hour of my life!"
The voice of the narraitor, was great and I would never have been able to imagine that while reading.
Well it's only Trixie....
Captured the tone of how we would imagine a dog to speak!
Bliss to You: Trixie's Guide to a Happy Life
"Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!"
I don't know I have not read the print version.
Just loved this little book. A lovely story that only pet lovers will understand. The healing powers of loved animals are totally unknown.
Nope, but I really liked her readin of this book!
There were many!
"A Lovely Story of a man who Simply Loved his dog!"
The vivid descriptions of everything. You could picture the love this man had for Trixie and the love this dog had for her Dad! To tell the truth this is the first Dean Koontz book I have ever read. And I loved it!
Merle's Door. Just the love and vivid descriptions and the fact that they know people think they are crazy for loving a dog this much but they don't really care!
The Movie watching scene where Trix sits on the chair between her Mom and Dad and watches Sandra Bullock!
There were many, but the entire dedication this family had to each other was very moving!
I highly recommend this book!
