It was too disjointed. There were too many different stories going on which would not have been a problem except one story appeared in the middle of another and you had to switch gears to get back into that story. The transition could have been smoother. It was odd to see Pendergast so dark. I loved the Constance story. It explains so much. You needed Vincent more.
Constance story line was the most interesting. the Cory story
didn't have one in this book
From James Patterson, yes. I have read every Patterson book.
It was a very disjointed and confusing book. The narrator (who was authentic) added to the confusion.
Not sure. They were authentic, however, it is the common stressor that one has when they call customer service in India and cannot understand the person.
I don't know, I was confused through the entire book even when I continually played the book back.
I love the Private series, but this one was bad. Further, Jack Morgan does not speak with an accident which made the book unbelievable.
I would highly recommend this book. It was action packed and contemporary. Great twists and turns.
Eve's journey after she left her companions--I don't want to give anything away.
Great distinction between characters.
It had my heart pounding
Greg does it once again. I am now a true fan!
yes! I would want to go back and hear the story again knowing what I now know
the last 4 chapters!
didn't have one
yes. at first I didn't get it and was a little irritated about working backwards. The last 4 chapters (or so) when the big reveals came were brilliant and took me right in
maybe a warning that you have to see this through or a fabulous intriguing finale
none. it is just a repeat of another Reacher book. I didn't need to hear and pay for it again!
I love this series. I feel very !
I always enjoy his books. this is the weakest book from him. The story get good until book 4 and too much whining . The narrator must be new because it wasn't the usual voices and the voices were whiny in addition to the text
She had whiny voice
I waited so long for this book and was so dissappointed
This was a really good book. Great narration. Each character had a voice. Great job weaving 2 stories into the main story. Great characters
The end--can't give it away
They make each character unique beyond the change in voice and inflection.
yes, if I could
Keep them coming!!!!
I love these books and the current narrator. The narrator gives life and character to each person. The story seemed thrown together and the narrator seemed disinterested. I was let down from the usual excitement of a Stephanie Plum adventure
for the first time, the narrator sounded tired and lackluster
I love the private series. The whole British accent ruined the characters I had envisioned in my mind. The story was weak and lack luster. Usuallly Patterson has you in suspense. I was just plain bored. I have read every Patterson book--this was the first to disappoint. I didn't like hearing the owner of Private--Jack speak in a British accent.
Absolutely! I love all the characters and stories Patterson writes. As for Sullivan, if he wrote the prior 2 privates then yes. If not, then probably not
The reader lacked the suspense that past readers of Patterson books has had. It was very boring. It was one dimensional. The narrator never changed his voice for different characters or his inflection. I never really felt like it was a suspense, mystery or thriller.
I didn't turn it off so I guess so.
I love the Stephanie Plum series and I wouldn't write a review as a general rule. this was less that impressive. it was predictable and boring. the only good thing about this book was its narrator. i am concerned that there is not much left to Stephanie Plum and her friends.
