Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

I have loved and continue to love everything Molly Harper has put out as an audiobook. I wasn't sure how I would feel about this one since there is nothing supernatural in it, but I loved it just the same. Great Book!

In John Scalzi's re-imagining of H. Beam Piper's 1962 sci-fi classic Little Fuzzy, written with the full cooperation of the Piper Estate, Jack Holloway works alone for reasons he doesnt care to talk about. Hundreds of miles from ZaraCorps headquarters on planet, 178 light-years from the corporations headquarters on Earth, Jack is content as an independent contractor, prospecting and surveying at his own pace. As for his past, thats not up for discussion.

I absolutely loved this book. It made me laugh, cry, cheer...and so on. Wil Wheaton, as usual, was a superb narrator and John Scalzi's re-imagining of this story was fantastic.

This was not a good audiobook - it was like having an encyclopedia read out loud. Hard to follow or remember the information, though the information was interesting. I also guess I didn't look carefully at the length of the audiobook before I purchased it - I thought it would have 2 hours or so...it was only 47 minutes.

"Dancers in the Dark" is set in the Sookieverse and features Sean and Layla. Dancer Layla Rue Le May's childhood prepared her to handle just about anything, including her aloof partner, Sean McClendon, a 300-year-old, redheaded vampire. Even so, when she somehow acquires a stalker, Layla Rue is surprised to find that Sean is the only one she can trust.

Dancers in the Dark was a great story set in the Sookieverse. I really enjoyed the characters and although I feel that there were some mispronunciations in the book I enjoyed the narration too. The 2nd story about some side security guard characters (who were involved in the Hotel explosion) was terrible...I was bored with the story and the characters, it's only 2-3 hours, but I would have rather paid for a 3 hour book without that story than a 5 hour with....

As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others. Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job.

I thought that nothing could beat Anne Bishops Black Jewels Trilogy (my favorite series ever), but the Others series is coming really close. I adore both books in the series so far. They are so well written and narrated that you are completely engrossed in the books while listening to them...I savored every moment of this audiobook.

I love vampire books and this was an interesting take on the Dracula story, but the pacing was VERY slow. I ended up getting bored a few times throughout the story. Overall, I am glad I read it, but was also glad that it was finished.

It's Christmas in Half-Moon Hollow and newly turned vampire Iris Scanlon-Calix wants to make Gigi's first visit home from college as normal and special as possible. It's taken months for Iris to work up the nerve to spend time around her baby sister after her vampire transition, so she enlists help from Jane Jameson and Company to keep her blood-thirst under control and assure Gigi's safety. Gigi, on the other hand, has problems of her own, including the demise of her relationship with high school sweetheart, Ben, and a looming job interview with Ophelia Lambert, the scariest potential employer in the Hollow.

This is probably my least favorite Molly Harper story, but it's free, so who am I to complain. The story itself is interesting and Amanda Ronconi does a fabulous job, as usual, but this was not a stand-alone story. It feels more like a preview chapter for the next book which I did not really appreciate (mostly since I don't know when this book is coming out). I love Molly Harper's books and this is the most negative review of her work I have written (she still gets 4 stars) which just goes to show you how wonderful her stories are.

Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow's only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she'd like. Running all their daylight errands - from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg - gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship - and certainly not anything else. But then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and only Iris can help.
