"I laughed and I cried..."
And I LOVED this book. I recommend it to anyone that wants a great romance with a slice of drama and a piece of suspense.
"Disappointed"
I am a big Sookie fan and have to say that this should have been a teaser to the next book rather than a whole book. While not a waste of my time, it didn't provide anything to push the series further. It's bad enough that HBO changed all of the characters and plot. This book lacked the depth the others had. Get it to understand more about the history of the characters rather than pushing the envelope of the series.
"Great book for a Teenager"
It was a little different style than the rest of the Dark-Hunter books but I found myself really enjoying it. I didn't miss any of the extra scenes that are a fluent part of the others. It also explained a lot that was missing in the details from the rest of the books. Glad I waited until AFTER Dream Warrior (Dream-Hunter Series) to listen to this one otherwise it would have messed up a few things in the sequences.
I can't wait for the next in the series.
"Good Book - Bad Reading"
I enjoyed the book but after going through the whole series I expect certain names and other words to be said the same way. They really needed to stick with a single narrator and not have a few different ones. His rendition of women was horrible.
"Would have preferred another narrator"
The book itself was very good but the audio editing was horrible. I think I would have liked it more had the narrator been better. He was very "breathy" and I didn't care for it. I'll have to think about if I want to continue the series in audible format or paperback.
"The best of the series!"
It was worth the build up from the previous books (some of which are not in audio format and one that was abridged and you should get the book). The narration could have been a little better but the book more than made up for it. I absolutely loved this one!
"The best of the series"
I thought I preferred Sam's story but this one was even better. It was very loving and included all of the aspects you expect from one of Hell Eight. I can't wait for the next one!
"Dallas vs. Sommerset = Perfect Plot"
I really like the series and thought this one was great. I'm really getting to know the characters and trying to figure out the plot twists as they the story unfolds. This series is keeping me busy and will continue for at least a few more months with as many as they have.
"Glad I stuck with it"
I really enjoyed Part 1 but found the next few to be a little slow. However, things started to pick up in Part 6 and didn't stop. I appreciated the narration and the writing style.
"Really enjoying the series"
I like getting to know the characters more and laughing and crying with them. The book is well written and Susan Ericksen does a great job with all of the characters.
