Stone Barrington has traveled to Los Angeles for the Democratic National Convention and finds that the political scene has been shaken up. First Lady Katherine Rule Lee is running for the party nomination, a loyal senator has died and left her seat vacant, and the Secret Service has received a credible threat toward Kate. It will take all of Stone's discretion and powers of persuasion to help arrange things for a desirable outcome.

Have you listened to any of Tony Roberts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    He is the redeeming factor.

    Any additional comments?

This series is becoming a factory story series. Less excitement, and a vehicle for publishing a book a year. The depth of the earlier books in the series is lacking.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

    Yes, the story is engaging.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He sounds like an "oldtime" radio announceer, much like he isn't there but reading from a distant location.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes.

When a hedge fund billionaire hires Stone Barrington to talk some sense into his wayward son, it seems like an easy enough job; no one knows the hidden sins and temptations of the ultra-wealthy better than Stone. But as Stone and his erstwhile protégé, Herbie Fisher, probe deeper into the case - and an old one comes back to haunt him - he realizes that even he may have underestimated just how far some people will go to cover up their crimes…and plan new ones.

Would you consider the audio edition of Unnatural Acts to be better than the print version?

I can listen as I drive to and from work, giving me the opportunity to utilize this "down tine."

Who was your favorite character and why?

Barrington. He seems to fall into manure, but keeps coming up smelling like roses.
