This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.

"Good story that I really liked..."
    Overall

Since it is about the Roman games it reminded me alot of the Gladiator movie with a Christian twist. A little more daring than her other books, but I enjoyed the story.

After all his hard work in preserving the faith and protecting the faithful, the thought that one of his pagan-worshiping nephews will become ruler is upsetting. It is such a fun way to learn so much about Bible history. I learned things I never knew before and enjoyed it all the while. There are 5 in this series and I loved each!

    "Was ok, but notmy favorite"
    Overall

I usually really enjoy this author, but this one just didn't do it for me. The main character is too "fluffy" for me. Just couldn't get into this one, although I did go ahead and finish it.

I wasn't sure how I would like this story of women's rights, but I did end up enjoying it. It pulled me in and I couldn't wait to hear more.
