I love the advantage of having the book version performed for me. It's like a movie, but it's the book and the book is always better then the movie. I love the fact that I can read while I clean, drive and work(on Saturdays when alone in the office).

All the characters. They were all, everyone, wonderful!

I have never read the printed version, but nothing, to me, compares to a well performed audio book anymore. There are several great reviews of this version and my writing another is probably not necessary, but I just couldn't pass up a chance to include mine in the mix.
The story is amazing, and the performance was riveting.

Edmund of course. His transformation from clueless and pitiful to cunning and magnificent was what made the story so wonderful.

The final scene in my mind of Edmund and Haydee sailing away for their final happiness.

It has been done many times, but I am sure never to do the story justice.

Don't miss the chance to spend the time on this book. You will not be sorry.

Can't wait listen to the next book in the series.

One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. Great female herione, fun engaging story that kept you on the edge of your seat.

The jail scene. She just takes it a step too far. Sooo fun!

Absolutely Brillant!

I love audio, for the freedom it gives me the read anytime and anywhere.

Sometimes. These books go into great detail and the detail can sometimes slow down the suspense, but these stories had some amazingly suspenseful moments. I loved all three books and will probably listen again and again.

He didn't really make anyone jump out at you. He was at times a little droll, but he still kept the story very engaging.

Couldn't stop listening. Kept hoping it would get better for this poor guy. He just got into one pile after another and it seemed to me like a cop should have known better in several instants. After listening to this book, I am not sure I would ever enjoy time on the bayou.

How this poor schmuck just kept getting hurt, getting other people hurt and never caught a break until the very end and even then it was a little bitter.

Performer needed to undo just a little more of the sadness that constantly spilled out of his mouth. He made this sad story all the sadder.

Too violent and scary, but it would probably be a big hit because of that. I would probably go and see it.

Yes. The story was engaging, sensitive and poignant. I especially loved the switch back and forth from the old man of present and the young man of the past. Great readers.

The last big show! I loved the way the book started there with the old man's dream.

They both gave great depth to each character.

NO. I found her drab and almost anemic. Although it almost sounded like at some time during the first few paragraphs of the second part that the reader was either changed or this gal finally woke up.

This story either read or listened to always moves me.

Great story, full of fun and excitement. Already finished the 2nd ( Every bit at good as the first) volume and will soon buy the 3rd.

Great voice and presence to each character. Loved her in both books.

I first heard this version about 4 years ago, and have listened to it many times since. It is a such a wonderful tale and Jeremy Irons voice makes it all the more wonderful. Enjoy!
