I tried, I really tried. I even restarted it a couple of times, but this book was not funny, it was not entertaining, and it was not intriguing. Sorry Ms. Rowling, I know you can do much better, but this one is a stinker.
The characters here were just not interesting enough to care about
There wasn't a favorite scene, they were all boring
sorry, but no
I like the way Kathryn Le Veque writes. Period! She develops the characters and has the talent to put you right there in the story with them.
I liked the original ending, it was great!
Good voice and inflections
I liked that the two alternative endings were included. My favorite by far was the original ending.
Love, Betrayal, Intrigue
The way it was written
This is the second book I purchased that was narrated by Brian J. Gill. I plan on purchasing more of her audio books and I will look for the ones narrated by Brian and get those first. He is very very good. In fact, I would say he is in my top three favorites of all time.
I'm not good at tag lines
This one is right up there among my favorites. I love the way the author weaves the story.
Spoiler! When she finds out that he is still alive
He was really good. It was a long book, so there were a couple of editing bobbles where Brian is caught laughing and I laughed right along with him, then we got right back to the story. Brian has the range to make the characters believable whether male or female.
I laughed several times. The story also took me right along with the sad, tense and frightening moments, too.
This was the first time I listened to Kathryn Le Veque. I am glad I found her because her style of writing and subject matter is just what I like. I've already purchased the second and now the third book. I also have to say I like that, so far, the books I've found each stand on their own, and I don't have to wait three years for a sequel to come out and find out where the author is taking the story. (No offense, Diana. I still love you, too)
In the top half for sure, and I've listened to a whole lot of them
Katy just wouldn't be the same without Eva Wilhelm
The Family, too?
It reminds me of the Juliet Blackwell series about the good witch who owns a vintage dress shop. Because that series also deals with a modern day woman confronting magic and they are lighthearted fun reads, too.
The reappearance of the Red Shoe
I've already recommended this series to several of my friends
When everyone figures out that Grandma knew what she was talking about
I've grown to associate her voice as Katy
Hex in Texas
I am thoroughly enjoying this series
It's fun and an easy read. I raced to the next book!
Can't really think of another like it, unless you go to another book in this series
When Owen and Katy confront the traitor
Lots of smiles
I can't wait for the whole series
I just could not relate
maybe, but I would definitely listen to the sample first
I thought the narration was okay, just wasn't interested in what was being said
It was well written, I just didn't care for the story
It was a lighthearted and fun story
Kate, she is a very likeable character that I could identify with
Sassy in all the right places, I felt like she really was Kate
Sex in the City meets Merlin
Fun Easy Read
When Aunt Tillie gets trapped in the brass vase
I think the title is good, why change it
