  • The Original Argument: The Federalists' Case for the Constitution, Adapted for the 21st Century

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 59 mins)
    • By Glenn Beck, Pat Gray
    • Narrated By Adam Grupper

Glenn Beck revisited Thomas Paine’s famous pre-Revolutionary War call to action in his #1 New York Times bestseller Glenn Beck’s Common Sense. Now he brings his historical acumen and political savvy to this fresh, new interpretation of The Federalist Papers.

Willis McLaughlin says: "Publius made simple"
    "And now I know!"

Thank you. I've never been political but now I know. Thank you for putting our forefathers and our constitution in prospective for me. God Bless America, yes, but God Bless American's to know their blessings and keep their blessings. Amen

  • The Good Guy

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Dean Koontz
    • Narrated By Richard Ferrone
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Timothy Carrier, having a beer after work at his friend's tavern, enjoys drawing eccentric customers into amusing conversations. But the jittery man who sits next to him tonight has mistaken Tim for someone very different and passes to him a manila envelope full of cash. "Ten thousand now. You get the rest when she's gone."

    Dawn says: "Dawn"
"Sat down for the opening beer and stayed glued"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Good Guy to be better than the print version?

    Sorry, no eyes on.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tim. Resourceful, sexy, everyday kinda guy. If I squint just so I'm sure I'm married to Tim, he's never let me down.

Have you listened to any of Richard Ferrone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Sorry, note listened to Richard Ferrone perviously. Sure would though.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I wouldn't make a film of this book. How could a film do it justice?

    Any additional comments?

    Just my cup of tea.

  • State of Fear

    • UNABRIDGED (18 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Michael Crichton
    • Narrated By George Wilson

Once again Michael Crichton gives us his trademark combination of page-turning suspense, cutting-edge technology, and extraordinary research. State of Fear is a superb blend of edge-of-your-seat suspense and thought provoking commentary on how information is manipulated in the modern world.

F says: "Did I read the same book as some of you?"
    "eye opening"

Michael Crichton is a master story teller. But if you think his story line is out of his head you have not been paying attention to what the bureaucracies, "excessive multiplication of, and concentration of power in, administrative bureaus or administrators" are doing to take away our property rights and hence our freedom. Thank you, Michael Crichton for your outstanding novel staged the real life fight for freedom and truth.

    Rest in Peace.

  • The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Mark Haddon
    • Narrated By Jeff Woodman

Fifteen-year-old Christopher Boone has Asperger's Syndrome, a condition similar to autism. He doesn't like to be touched or meet new people, he cannot make small talk, and he hates the colors brown and yellow. He is a math whiz with a very logical brain who loves solving puzzles that have definite answers.

Robert says: "Endearing. Pathos, humor, reality, and insight."
"Read it, re-read it, I'll read it again"

As an avid reader of only the books I like, I have truly enjoyed this book. Mark Haddon writes with such talent thru the eyes of our young hero. The story unfolds in an intriguing saga that arouses curiosity and whets the appetite for more. The last page leaves you reading the author's bio because you just aren't ready for the story to be over. Kudos to Jeff Woodman for his execellent preformance! Standing ovation.

  • Odd Thomas

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 33 mins)
    • By Dean Koontz
    • Narrated By David Aaron Baker
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.

    Denise says: "No Doubting Thomas"
    "Odd Thomas"

My all time favorite book. I'm delighted to have it read to me so expertly. Edge of your seat page turning (so to speak)book. Outstanding whether listening or risking a paper cut. Thanks for the memories.
