Had to immediately start this second book with such a cliffhanger from the Hunger Games. Great book, once again.
Of course, it is a classic. I listened with my 11 and 12 year old in the car to and from work and they loved it. The narrator was great.
This was a really cute slapstick radio show. Reminded of me of shows I listened to when I was a child. My ten year old daughter enjoyed it.
Good story line but the narrator does a very poor job with accents. The Scottish accents sound Jamaican half of the time. The French accent becomes Hispanic. It was very annoying. Occasionally the pattern of speech seemed deliberate and disjointed which was also distracting.
Completely ineffective. I went into this not expecting much but kept an open mind. It was a complete waist of money. Forewarned is forearmed everyone!
Recommended by a friend and am so happy I went out of my standard genre of books to read.
The final book of the three was crushing, thought provoking, and had you on the edge of your seat. I read a prior review of this third book that stated the end was "disappointing" and I was waiting for the disappointing or inappropriate ending that never came. It had me reeling for days after the book ended.
