McCullough's John Adams has the sweep and vitality of a great novel. This is history on a grand scale, an audiobook about politics, war, and social issues, but also about human nature, love, religious faith, virtue, ambition, friendship, and betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of noble ideas. Above all, it is an enthralling, often surprising story of one of the most important and fascinating Americans who ever lived.

    "Great book, incredible narration"
    Overall

I love an audiobook when the narrator changes voices with the characters. Nelson Runger does an amazing job at this and even changes his voice just slightly as John Adams ages. He does a masterful job at bringing the book to life.
The book itself is incredible, as it gives such great insight into the life of John Adams. You hear of his struggles, his joys and his disappointments. There is great insight into his personal and family life which shows his great love for his wife and children. I would certainly purchase this audiobook!

Dashing young Edmond Dantès has everything: a fine reputation, an appointment as captain of a ship, and the heart of a beautiful woman. But his perfect life is shattered when three jealous friends conspire to destroy him. Falsely accused of a political crime, Dantès is locked away for life in the infamous Chateau d'If prison. But it is there that Dantès learns of a vast hidden treasure.

I have recommended this book to everyone who asks! The narration is perfect, the story line is captivating and there are amazing life lessons to learn! I recounted the story each night to my kids and they all were dying to hear what was happening to the "winking Grandpa", Maximilian and the Count!
