"Need a change in production"
That it was an Honor Harrington novel and a continuation of a story that I have been following since 2000.
The Treecats and the refusal of the so-called educated politicans that refuse to believe that they have anything to add to a discussion or are afraid to be around them for fear of being found out.
I have listened to them many times and I wish that she would STOP with the accents. I understand that she is trying to make the story more intresting but she is just muddying up the story and making it harder to follow.
disgust at the blind averice in the Solie politicians attitudes. I nearly screamed. They act just like Washington politicians.
Bring in a male narrator for the scenes where a male is the focus like the ones for the senior undersecretaries. The breaking up between male and female voices would enhance the books. The publisher might even go back and redo all the books that way. I know that I'd get them.
"PICK A NARRATOR!"
This book carries on the side story of the Honorverse with great gusto. Lots of detailed and personal scenes.
She does a wonderful job but the shifting of narrators from Jay Snyder makes it tough to take the publisher seriously.
"If you love this series then..."
The story is the only enjoyable part of what Audible and McMillian have offered up. Buy the book and sit down for a good read but since Audible and McMillian have refused to listen to their readers/listeners I suggest that you avoid this offering as it will give you little joy. The "so called" publishers have used a fourth narrator on this series and have yet to offer a reason why. They started with an incredibly tallented reader in Mr. Oliver Wyman and after two books switched to Jason Culp. Mr Culp was a shock because his reading felt wrong. Then after Mr. Culp we got Mr. Keating. Let's just say that my enjoyment went from south of good to what the heck are these morons doing to David Weber's story?
I hated the fact that he pronounced things wrong and was the fourth performer in six books. This would never have stood for any other series of books, why is it standing for this series?
Switch publishers Mr. Weber If they won't listen to you when you make comments then DROP them and site attempted destruction of your work product, and credibility.
