Something in his character has kept him always at a distance, preventing him from giving himself wholeheartedly to the woman he loves and from becoming the father that he knows his children deserve. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Wonderful to hear the author narrate his own work. He lends an honesty to it like no other narrator could. He readsfast in some places, but it didn't bother me.

Adam Cassidy is twenty-six and a low level employee at a high-tech corporation who hates his job. When he manipulates the system to do something nice for a friend, he finds himself charged with a crime. Corporate Security gives him a choice: prison or become a spy in the headquarters of their chief competitor, Trion Systems.

    Karen says: "Clever and interesting."
    "Well worth the time!"

I have listened to many titles over the years, and this is, by far, the one that stands out in my mind as the most enjoyable. Adam gets under your skin and you want his to succeed and fail for different reasons.

"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.

    Denise says: "No Doubting Thomas"
"Stayed awake wondering what would happen next."

I loved this audio book. I was very sad when it ended. The characters seem real and the narrator is awesome.

Jesse Stone has a problem. Actually, several problems: dead bodies turning up, and no clues. Investigating a serial killer in an affluent suburban town is difficult, and dangerous, and with the added pressures from the media, the heat is turned up on Jesse. He's spending too much time with the bottle - and with his ex-wife - neither of which helps him, or the case. And the harder these forces push against him, the more Jesse retreats into himself, convinced that it's up to him alone to stop the killing.

Bram says: "Most dispassionate narration, predictable plot"
    "Cannot even finish it"
    Overall

I can't even get past the "he said, she said's". I am sure the story line is good, but I'll have to read it for myself, where I can skip the repetition. I gave it a "1" only because I could not offer the review without completing all items.
