3,495 hours listened in 2012! I used to be a voracious reader, then my job had me driving about 1k miles a week. I started listening to Audible and have never stopped. I quit work and now just listen all the time, cleaning house, shopping, driving, in the hot tub. I even put one earbud in and let Audible read me to sleep every night.

Rumor said the powerful Nicolai DeMarco could command the heavens, that the beasts below did his bidding... and that he was doomed to destroy the woman he took as wife. It was whispered he was not wholly human - as untamed as his tawny mane and slashing amber eyes. Impoverished aristocrat Isabella Vernaducci would defy death itself to rescue her imprisoned brother. She’d even brave the haunted, accursed lair of the lion - the menacing palace of legendary, lethal Don Nicolai DeMarco.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

I listened to a lot of books before I got to Diana Galbaldon, but I don't remember them. This is the book that got me hooked on listening instead of reading. Davina Porter makes this come alive. It's the best series ever.

New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon enchanted scores of fans with Outlander, her electrifying historical saga set in 18th-century Scotland. Now this sequel sweeps listeners back into the past as Claire relates more of her perilous sojourn there with her Scottish warrior husband, James Fraser. Twenty years after her strange journey back in time, Claire has returned to Scotland with her daughter, determined to share with her the secret she has harbored since her time travel.

I really liked this series, the paranormal characters aren't your usual vampires/werewolf/zombie/fey. Unique characters and good mystery story line. You really find yourself rooting for the non-human hero, read them all, I won't give anything away.

Set in the intriguing Scotland of 200 years ago, the third installment in the romantic adventures of Jamie and Claire is as compelling as the first. Now that Claire knows Jamie survived the slaughter at Culloden, she is faced with the most difficult decision of her life. She aches to travel back through time again to find the love of her life, but, in order to do that, she must leave their daughter behind.

I need a 12 step program to help me wait for the next book in this series! I know each of the books are really long, and most authors just can't hold your attention that long, but try Diana Galbadon and Davina Porter, each word is needed, each sentence perfectly spoken so that you can literally see each scene in your head. I have listened to 467 books in the last 4 years, I may listen more than anyone else on the planet, so I have some experience and feel qualified to say that the Outlander Series is the best historical, fantasy fiction written. It's addictive. It'll make you want to buy your husband a kilt!

Despite her near-phobia of wedding planning, her no-frills nighttime nuptials to her sexy boyfriend, Gabriel, are coming along smoothly. That is, until she turns a fatally wounded teenage acquaintance, and the Council pronounces her responsible for the newborn vamp until he can control his thirst.

If you could sum up Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors in three words, what would they be?

    Laugh out loud

What was one of the most memorable moments of Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors?

When Jane describes Southern small town gossip tree happenings! My mother has said those exact same words about our hometown. I laughed so hard I woke up my husband.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Ronconi is one of the best! She does this accent perfect. I am from the South and travel for work in the area where this book is set frequently. Amanda sounds like she lives there and Molly Harper gets the quirky slang word combinations to make it seem real.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Ky Vampires better educated than La. Vampires, and have funnier lives. No need for gratuitous explicit sex to keep your interest.

Would you consider the audio edition of Skinwalker to be better than the print version?

I prefer to listen to books than read. I can listen all day and honestly I listened to this entire series straight thru, book to book, this week and was really bummed when I got to the latest one on Audible, can't wait for the next one.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jane is a strong female lead that does not need a boyfriend and strong sexual content to make this story interesting. She also does not need her supernatural male clients to protect her, she is stronger in moral character than they are and has the muscle to back it up.

What about Khristine Hvam’s performance did you like?

Love the way she goes from Jane's voice to Beast's thoughts. Beast is great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book all in one sitting, then bought all the rest of the series that is available on Audible and listened to them straight thru. Took all weekend! LOL So worth it. I clean and cook and shop and drive Listening. Can't wait to get the next book in the series.

Some wounds take time to heal . . . and some scars never fade. Rachel Morgan, kick-ass witch and bounty hunter, has taken her fair share of hits, and has broken lines she swore she would never cross. But when her lover was murdered, it left a deeper wound than Rachel ever imagined, and now she won't rest until his death is solved . . . and avenged. Whatever the cost.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Rachel continues to make bad decisions and she does not consider how her life is impacting all those she claims to love. I'm tired of the whining. Rachel needs to get strong and make things right.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kim Harrison? Why or why not?

I will keep reading this series hoping for a redemption of Rachel, I'd like to know what happens to Ivy and Janks.

Which character – as performed by Marguerite Gavin – was your favorite?

Rachel is great, Ivy's voice is purrrfect and Marguerite gets Janks right. The narrator of the last book made Janks irratating, so glad Ms Gavin is back.

Was White Witch, Black Curse worth the listening time?

Yes, you need to listen to this one to bridge to the next one, which I'm sure it will be better.

Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

If you could sum up And One Last Thing... in three words, what would they be?

    Hilarious revenge fiction

What did you like best about this story?

I can see this happening in the small town I grew up in. Absolutely possible and hilarious. I listen while I'm going to sleep, this book kept me snickering in the dark. I kept waking my husband up laughing and when I explained what the book was about..he didn't think it was funny. Makes it even funnier.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amanda's snarky voice hits all the right notes for punch lines in this story.

If you could take any character from And One Last Thing... out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The author! She has to be the funniest person alive.

    Any additional comments?

Would make a great made for tv movie.
