I took a chance from my normal category and got a home run. This story was funny, the characters were interesting and the performance was great. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for some fun.
Good book kept you guessing right up to the end on who the killer was. Not many books have done that for me lately. Well worth the credit.
The book was great, loved the story and characters really kept you hooked. The narrator could have been better, that would have made this a 5 star listen all around.
The narrator ruined this for me. I was so disappointed in voices she gave the characters, I couldn't stand to listen to the whole book. The characters sound angry and dumb, causing the book to drag on and on. I may try reading the actual book and see if its any better but at this point this will be the last Rizzoli and Isles audio book I get.
This was one of those books that make you want to scream "GET TO THE POINT ALREADY" Boring, tedious, not worth the credit. The narrator's lackluster performance leads to not being interested in any of the characters.
This was my first listen to this author and this series, bad habit of not going in order. None the less I am hooked. It was a little slow at first not understanding the dynamic between Harper and Tolliver, but once that came out and resolved itself the story really picked up. I am now hooked and will start from the beginning.
Very fun listen, great story. The characters and the story seem so real it almost makes you wish you had this life. It's a story that you can get lost in for a while and let the stresses of life go to the side. A great mini mind vacation.
Great story, great narrorating. This is the first time I have listened to this author's books and I can tell you I will definately be back for more. I was hooked from the start.
Another great book by Deborah Harkness. I have to admit the first in this series I thought was wordy and I didn't care much for the character Diana Bishop, but I kept going. Book 2 I was hooked and now with book 3 I don't want it to end. So many twists with characters who live forever, who knows who, when did they meet, what grudges do they hold. There are some characters that you just want to hear more from, sure there are others that could be killed off and you wouldn't mind but not too many.
Great job, so worth the wait.
Charles Martin has a way of making you feel like you are there and part of the characters. This book is just as good as Chasing Fire Flies, the characters are believable, the story touches your heart, you ride the emotional roller coaster of the lives of the characters. It brought tears to my eyes several times, I didn't want to stop listening. You can't go wrong with this book.
I grew up reading and watching westerns. I was very excited to get into this one but the narrator ruined it for me. Seriously he was the wrong guy for the job. He made the Faith sound whimpy, and I'm sorry folks but cowboys can be friendly but these guys were pathetic and it all came down to performance for me. I will try to find this book and read it, I really think that I will enjoy this book so much more by creating the voices and personalities in my head.
From what I could stand to listen to the story itself is good, but couldn't stand the voices.
