"Wow"
I got this book because it was narrated by Bronson Pinchot and the plot sounded interesting. However, I had no Idea how great this book was going to be. It was originally released in the 1950's. However, there is no way you could tell, because the story and the setting are timeless. The narration was first rate Mr.Pinchot never disappoints and the story had me enthralled. If you like lord of the rings or fantasy in general you should pick this one up.
"Great! Great Book"
This book is outstanding a lot of ways particularly in how it dispenses with advice. George is a very intelligent athlete and a class act all around. The story of his life is very interesting. What I found particularly useful was the talks he gave about fear and anxiety. The only shortcoming of this book I can point to is the abysmal narration. Many a great book on audible has been ruined by a subpar narrator and this book almost fell into that category. However. I think the book is well worth your time to listen to and I think you'll enjoy greatly.
"A great move for Audible"
I think this book is really awesome. I've been working out and even competing at the Professional level of athletics for a years now and a lot of the info in this book was very useful to me. I would love to see Audible get more books like this with useful attached PDF's. I think that this is a solid read for anyone who's interested in fitness. No matter what your knowledge level there's going to be something in the air that you're going to find useful. However, I can see someone who has never lifted before but who's interested in stepping into the realm of health and fitness benefiting from this book.
"What a great series"
This series really pulls you in. The characters and the battles are well depicted and not predictable. Honesty this is one of the best series I have ever read.
"WOW !"
This is truely an amazing work. The dialogue between the characters is funny and likable . The descriptions of the environment and historic setting are deep. The plot is exciting and never predictable. Ron Periman does an amazing job as a narrator. I loved this book and I highly recommend it.
"George R. R. Martin can write anything."
I was hesitant to buy this book because it had to do with Vampires. This is because Vampires and Zombies have become so common in fiction that they are almost a cliche. However, Martin's other books are so amazing I had no choice, but to give this one a try. I'm very glad I did because this is really an amazing book that keeps you deeply entertained. For instance, you can never really tell whats going to happen the plot and characters keep you guessing. The characters are themselves extremely unique, deep, and don't fit into classic archetypes, which is a wonderful change of pace from your average cookie cutter characters that appear in most fiction. The protagonist is a ugly, fat blow-heart, who for all his ugliness is quite formidable. I can't say enough good things about this book I think anyone will greatly enjoy it if they could just give it a chance.
"Um solid GOLD!"
You know I was extremely hesitant to buy this novel when I first came across it. My line of thought being " What another Zombie novel... Lame!". However, I couldn't have been more wrong. Patient Zero is really quite amazing. It's so much more then your drab average Zombie novel. This is a character driven, action heavy, and intelligent spy novel with a twist. Maberry can really write a fight scene. In addition, there are enough twists and turns to keep you guess and hooked. I think this is an outstanding work and I look forward to buying and reviewing the hole series. Do yourself a favor and get this book.
"This was an amazing Bio"
This was an amazing Bio, Micky Ward pulls no punches and gives you a detailed look into his life in and outside the ring. Strangely enough your going to find yourself connecting with the characters in the novel. From start to finish the tale of Ward's life is going to hold your interest. If your a fight fan I think you should give this novel a try.
"Not for everyone."
I had to read this book for class and over all I found it to be ok. There are some moments of brilliants, but those are overshadowed by tedious dialog and unlikeable characters.
"A MASTERPIECE !!!!!"
Amazing simply amazing. This is Don Winslow at his very best. Surprisingly there are a ton of great historic facts in the novel. The strange thing is this should be a work of historic fiction. The characters are deep and you never know exactly whats going to happen next. There is plenty of action and suspense plus an air of much needed complexity to the plot, that is lacking in lot of novels out there right now. The best part of this book is once your done with it your going to have a pretty good understanding of the Drug War and the CIA's operations within latin America. GET THIS BOOK!
