Welcome to humanity’s new war: silent, high stakes, and unseen. This is a life-or-death mission for ONI’s black-ops team, Kilo-Five, which is tasked with preventing the ruthless Elites, once the military leaders of the Covenant, from regrouping and threatening humankind again. What began as a routine dirty-tricks operation?keeping the Elites busy with their own insurrection?turns into a desperate bid to extract one member of Kilo-Five from the seething heart of an alien civil war.

Would you listen to Halo: The Thursday War again? Why?

Yes I would. I will do it to pick up all the little story threads that lead off into possible future story archs and those that fill in gaps about the back stories of several characters.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Admiral Perengowski in particular piqued my interest. She is as bad as any Sith Lord that ever graced the pages of Karen's other novels. Karen dealt with the Elites nobility as well as anyone. They are truly noble within their culture and in battle.

Which character – as performed by Euan Morton – was your favorite?

    Admiral Perengowski, easily!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I get upset by the constant use of "chinconi"! Next time how about a coversation with a GI before you record! It's CinC ONI (SINK ONI)! It is Commander in Chief, and is not an Italian word. I grate my teeth everytime he uses it. After 20 years of service, I find that I'm not so flexible on the lexicon.

    Any additional comments?

Quietly awaiting the next installment in the series. I could use a timelime to help bring things together for me.

With the Federation losing ground in its war against the Dominion, the galaxy's greatest smugglers, including the beautiful and enigmatic Vash, rendezvous on Deep Space 9. Their objective: a fabled lost orb of the Prophets unlike any other, rumored to be the key to unlocking a second wormhole in Bajoran Space, a second Celestial Temple.

Would you consider the audio edition of Star Trek, Deep Space Nine to be better than the print version?

Yes, especially if yoour a truck driver or are on a cross country trip or vacation beach!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Star Trek, Deep Space Nine?

    The search for the orbs!.

What about Joe Morton’s performance did you like?

Outstanding performance. Joe Morton is one of my favorite sci-fi actors!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! Outbound leg of my route is 3.5 hours of highway driving.

    Any additional comments?

Where are the rest of the Millenium series as audiobooks? Why aren't more Star Trek books made into Audiobooks? They are better (more positive) than the Star Wars dark side heros.

Admiral John "Black Jack" Geary earned his rank after being revived from cryogenic sleep to lead the Alliance to victory against the Syndicate Worlds. But his superiors question his loyalty to the regime. Now in command of the First Fleet, Geary is tasked with exploring the frontier beyond Syndic space, a mission he fears deliberately puts the fleet--and himself--in harm's way. An encounter with the alien enigmas confirms Geary's fears.

Would you consider the audio edition of Invincible: The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier, Book 2 to be better than the print version?

Yes, I drive light trucks everyday so audio is perfect for me!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Invincible: The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier, Book 2?

I love the interplay between BlackJack, Djahni, Rioan!

What does Christian Rummel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has the characters nailed! I wish someone would help him with CinC ONI. It's CinC (Sink) ONI. Two words, not Italian "Chinconi". Commander in Chief. Drives me nuts as a military vet!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was hard to break it up for a five day drive.

    Any additional comments?

I really like this series and I really love the characters. I can see Dan Craig as the high end Black Jack, Ben Browder, or Nick Fallon in a pinch! Halle Barrie, Jennifer-Lopez or Gabrielle Union as Capt. Djhani, and Rioan played by Selma Hyack! It would be good and The action sequences would be great to see on the big screen. I thought the author wanted to end the series, but I for one am glad he hasn't! I say, "Take your time and write it the way you want it to be!" I am looking forward to getting back to Alliance space and dealing with the twists and turns of outwitting the politicos at there own game! I say let them take each other out! Thank You!

The series is worthy of being put on cd. As a truck driver I have little time to sit and read. Audiobooks made life on the road bearablewhile waiting at weighstations or traversing the interstates. As a long time trekker I would really like to hear this, the titan, and typhone pact series on cd or done for audio download. I think they would sell well. Why let Star Wars take all of the audio market? They provide audio versions as part of the original publishing release. Live long and prosper!
