As the supposed new owner of property coveted by the Church of the Everlasting Sin, she'd be irresistible bait for the reclusive and charismatic Reverend Samuel. His fortified compound in the mountains near Grace, North Carolina, had been the last known residence of two women murdered in ways that defied scientific explanation. Though hardly as naive or as vulnerable as she appears, Tessa knows she has a lot to learn about using her unique gift.

Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Sins to be better than the print version?

I've become spoiled. I've read all my life and now someone can read to me. I love it!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes! kay Hooper is great at twists and turns.

What about Joyce Bean’s performance did you like?

She picks up the excitment in her voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No! I like the unabridged versions. More than one sitting is fine with me.

    Any additional comments?

I wish all the Bishop novels were on audible!

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

Would you listen to Whiskey Beach again? Why?

I almost always listen to a Nora Roberts book more than once. She does a great job of putting the reader into the setting. This may not be my favorite, but she's given us a good read again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Abra, because she is so together. and green-eyed!

What about Peter Berkrot’s performance did you like?

I didn't have a problem with his switching of genders. He didn't force it and it was natural.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not an extreme reaction, a satisfying reaction. It was a comfortable book and I had a good idea of where it was going. But Nora always does so well on descriptions that I really enjoyed the listen .

Genevieve knows all about nightmares. She herself survived two months as a psychopath's prisoner. And now this new menace stalks the city. Spooked by the bizarre slayings, she turns to P.I. Joe Connolly, her past rescuer, friend and...hopefully something more, if he would just quit avoiding her. At first Joe isn't even sure there is a case. But the body count rises, and it's clear that a twisted killer is on the loose. Even more unsettling is the guidance he starts receiving from beyond the grave.

I have not read print edition

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

    plot was intriguing.

What does Fred Stella and Natalie Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Love having the two narrators. i'm not particularly critical of voice changes, but few can do the opposite sex very well.

He's no ordinary kidnapper. Not only does he strike again and again, but he collects the ransom, gets away safely, and leaves his helpless hostages dead. Now, after months of eluding the best that law enforcement can put against him, this monster has left nothing in his wake but a cold trail of unconnected victims. Lucas Jordan is no ordinary cop. He has come to Clayton County, North Carolina to put a stop to these senseless killings.

What did you love best about Hunting Fear?

The pace of these Special Unit novels is great. There's always a surprise ending.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lucas is the brooding hero that makes the romance work.

Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Dick Hill has the voice to keep one riveted.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really...I'd rather it went on forever.

    Any additional comments?

Kay Hooper does the paranormal better than anyone else.
