    If you liked the original Sherlock Holmes you will probably like this book. Its very faithful in plot line, tone and style.

    Would you try another book from D. B. Jackson and/or Jonathan Davis?

    I was drawn to this book by the basic premise but it turned out to not deliver. It had a poor plot, repetitive action and two dimensional characters. Nothing of interest is done with the historical figures who show up in minor rolls.


    Would you ever listen to anything by D. B. Jackson again?

    Probably not.

    The story of the physical relationship between the aristocratic protagonist Constance Chatterley and gamekeeper Oliver Mellors - which occurs right under the nose of her wheelchair-bound husband, Clifford. In exploring the class system of the early 20th century, the novel also touches upon the declining coal mining industry, its effect on the workers, and the politics which surrounded it. Yet possibly the most important theme is the individual’s need for physical as well as intellectual satisfaction.

    Although it contains some beautiful language this is a consistently dark grey depressing story about very unhappy people. There are no characters to be admired.

    This book seemed to leave out much of what I wanted to know and repeat other details over and over again. Never the less I will try out some of the ideas and see if they help my business.
