After his wife, Helen, is brazenly abducted before his eyes, Special Agent Pendergast furiously pursues the kidnappers, chasing them across the country and into Mexico. But then, things go terribly, tragically wrong; the kidnappers escape; and a shattered Pendergast retreats to his New York apartment and shuts out the world. But when a string of bizarre murders erupts across several Manhattan hotels, NYPD Lieutenant D'Agosta asks his friend Pendergast for help.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this as much as any other Preston/Child books. I was worried from reading the reviews - something I rarely do, as I often differ - and I am glad that I went with my gut and read it on my own.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Two Graves?

Critics who say that Pendergast is a shell of himself seem to want less than the reality of a man who has been twice devasted and left disillusioned by circumstances. How could anyone be everything in such situations? Yet, in the end, there is no doubt of who and what Pendergast is - an incredible man, with an incredible mind and an even more incredible gene pool.

What does Rene Auberjonois bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

While Rene Auberjonois is still the best to read Pendergast, I was underwhelmed by this performance. It seemed that the voices were off and the name pronunciations were different.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Where does Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The suspense that led to purchasing this book could have been what ruined it. It did. It. This is a truly great read. Easy to follow and leaves you wanting more at each page...

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

For me, this book is like a CE Sandra Brown books I have read, like ENVY... Romance, what seems forbidden and things you want to question so you want to talk to the characters.

Have you listened to any of Becca Battoe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to other Becca Battoe read books. I like this one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My only extreme action was to try new things with my mate.... Key word - WITH...
