Adam Chase has spent the last five years in New York City trying to erase his worst memories and the scorn and abandonment of his family. Then a phone call from his best friend awakens in him a torrent of emotion and pain. Having left North Carolina and its red soil for good, he never thought returning would be easy - and being remembered as a murderer doesn't help much.

    Donald says: "Best Audiobook Ever"
"Depressing story went from bad to worse."

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No! The story had too many negative events and outcomes.

Do you think Down River needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. This family was toooo disfunctional to continue the story.

    Any additional comments?

Purchased this book because of a good rating but don't agree with that opinion.

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

Charles says: "Read all of Gabaldon's stuff before this one"
"Superb rendtion of a powerful saga."

What made the experience of listening to An Echo in the Bone the most enjoyable?

Davina Porter can make each character come to life with the accent and timber of her voice.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Claire of course is the one I identify with but she is one with Jamie

What about Davina Porter’s performance did you like?

Davina Porter is the best narrator I have ever heard.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not possible in one sitting but it accompanies me while I work on my many art projects.

    Any additional comments?

Diana Gabaldon is a phenomenal story teller. Can't wait for her next book to come out.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

If you could sum up Bossypants in three words, what would they be?

Funny and informative peek into the comedy business. A view from the inside from the female point of view. Love to listen while I work on my clay projects.

What did you like best about this story?

    Short episodes kept me entertained.

What about Tina Fey’s performance did you like?

    Clear diction easy to understand.

    Any additional comments?

Go for the second sibling child. You wont regret it.
