Two sisters. Two voices. One Heart.

The mystery of "Magic Man." The wicked riff of "Barracuda." The sadness and beauty of "Alone." The raw energy of "Crazy On You." These songs, and so many more, are part of the fabric of American music. Heart, fronted by Ann and Nancy Wilson, has given fans everywhere classic, raw, and pure badass rock and roll for more than three decades. As the only sisters in rock who write their own music and play their own instruments, Ann and Nancy have always stood apart - certainly from their male counterparts but also from their female peers.

With dramatic flair, Jeff Guinn delivers the definitive portrait of Bonnie and Clyde. These media-savvy outlaws appealed to America's Depression-era hunger for swashbuckling characters. Glowing radio and newspaper reports transformed these "public enemies" into celebrities - much like the cinema gangsters of the time.

What did you love best about The Millionaire Next Door?

Very informative about how we think millionaires live vs. how they really live. People that we think are millionaires are not but how there are some people that you would not think are.

What didn’t you like about Cotter Smith’s performance?

He sometimes would go too fast especially through all the statistics

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just during the story's that compared how different people viewed and handled their money

    Any additional comments?

I believe this book would be more effective read than listened too because it has so many statistics that you cannot catch them and what they mean. It sounds as though the reader is just reading off numbers.

On May 18, 1860, William H. Seward, Salmon P. Chase, Edward Bates, and Abraham Lincoln waited in their hometowns for the results from the Republican National Convention in Chicago. When Lincoln emerged as the victor, his rivals were dismayed and angry. Throughout the turbulent 1850s, each had energetically sought the presidency as the conflict over slavery was leading inexorably to secession and civil war.

Filled with narrative stories, humor, and practical help, this book is for anyone who wants to live fully and wonders just what that might look like in daily life. Many people are lurching in the twilight, hoping to sing once again… living lives of quiet desperation, searching in vain for signs of life. St. Irenaeus said, "The Glory of God is man fully alive." For those who have been sidelined in life, for those tempted to give up, this book screams Live!
