They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

"VERY LONG, BUT EASY LISTEN & ENJOYABLE"
    Overall

ALL the above for Kings fans. Exceptionally easy listen and Weber an excellent reader. I would definitely rate this in Kings top 10. Maybe top 5 or 6

Glen Runciter is dead. Or is everybody else dead? Chip works for Glen Runciter's anti-psi security agency, which hires out its talents to block telepathic and paranormal crimes. But when its special team tackles a big job on the moon, something goes terribly wrong, and Runciter is seemingly killed.

Mirek says: "Ubik - the classic of sci-fi"
    "good but a little disappointing"
    Overall

This was one of the better Dick novels but not quite as good as I expected. Think it was Time that rated it as one of the 100 best American novels. I dont know it I would go that far but found it better than most of his novels. Certainly better than FLow my Tears, which I recently listened to.

Pop star Jason Taverner is the product of a top-secret government experiment that produced a selection of genetically enhanced people 40 years ago. Unusually bright and beautiful, he's a television idol beloved by millions - until one day, all records of his identity inexplicably disappear. Overnight, he has gone from being a celebrity to a being a man no one seems to recognize. And in a police state, having no proof of his existence is enough to put his life in danger.

Shawn says: "One of Philip K. Dick's Best"
    "Brilliant start disappointing ending"
    Overall

This Dick novel started sooo brilliantly but like several Dick books fell apart toward the end in my opinion. I was disappointed to say the least.

Why we think it’s a great listen: You may have thought the movie was scary, but this is pure Stephen King as it was meant to be experience – performed frighteningly well by Campbell Scott. First published in 1977, The Shining quickly became a benchmark in the literary career of Stephen King. This tale of a troubled man hired to care for a remote mountain resort over the winter, his loyal wife, and their uniquely gifted son slowly but steadily unfolds as secrets from the Overlook Hotel's past are revealed.

Eileen says: "Much better than the movie..."
"GOOD a bit better than movie"
    Overall

A good listen. Several surprises if you have seen the movie. I think it is slightly better than Kubricks movie version of The Shining. I have done about 20 of the King/Bachman books think this would rate in the top 10 for sure.
