A Signature Performance: Leelee Sobieski’s Emma is sultry but vulnerable, offering a sympathetic rendering of the heroine and her plight, allowing the listener to draw his own conclusions about Madame Bovary in this cautionary tale of love, passion, and desperation.

I was looking forward to finally listening to this book since it is a classic and I like Leelee Sobieski as an actress. I could not get past her strange pauses/breaks in reading and the lack of emotion from the characters. At times, listening was almost unbearable...especially when she did the male voices while they were arguing or having discussions. Her reading got a little better towards the end but it was a disappointment as a whole.

The winsome Anne Shirley is grown, has married her beloved Gilbert, and is the mother of six frolicsome children. Anne and her family experience some unimaginable events when a strange family moves into a nearby mansion. The Meredith family is comprised of two boys and two girls, a minister father but no mother, and a runaway girl named Mary Vance.

    "Bad narrator"
    Overall

I read this book when I was younger and I remember liking it. So this review is for the narrator and not the book itself. This is the first time I have not finished listening to an audio book. The narrator (in my opinion) was not good at all.
