Why we think it’s a great listen: Never before has an author’s narration of his fiction been so important to fully grasping the book’s impact and global implications. Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of its monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them.

    "worthwhile"
    Overall

I thought that this was an exceptional book. It's very well written and an interesting story. While it was fiction, because I knew that it was read by the author, I felt like he was telling me his own story. I also felt that I was learning a little about what it must be like to live in today's Afghanistan.

With her disarming, intimate, completely accessible voice, and dry sense of humor, Nora Ephron shares with us her ups and downs in I Feel Bad About My Neck, a candid, hilarious look at women who are getting older and dealing with the tribulations of maintenance, menopause, empty nests, and life itself.

I listened to this book as I was walking my dog and I was laughing out loud. I wish I had written this book.
