  • A Fistful of Charms

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 10 mins)
    • By Kim Harrison
    • Narrated By Marguerite Gavin
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The evil night things that prowl Cincinnati despise witch and bounty hunter Rachel Morgan. Her new reputation for the dark arts is turning human and undead heads alike with the intent to possess, bed, and kill her - not necessarily in that order.

    A User says: "Great fun"

This series is an amazing series but this is by far the best. I could not stop listening. The characters become even more real and I laughed non stop. There are so many twists and turns that you may feel dizzy but in the best way possible. Don't miss out! Download it!!!!

  • Some Girls Bite: Chicagoland Vampires, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Chloe Neill
    • Narrated By Cynthia Holloway
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

They killed me. They healed me. They changed me. Sure, the life of a graduate student wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was mine. I was doing fine until Chicago's vampires announced their existence to the world---and then a rogue vampire attacked me. But he only got a sip before he was scared away by another bloodsucker...and this one decided that the best way to save my life was to make me the walking undead.

    Stephanie says: "GREAT"
"Horrible story with so much potential"
What disappointed you about Some Girls Bite?

The entire book was listening to a whiney sorority girl. The only interesting part was the last ten minutes.

Would you ever listen to anything by Chloe Neill again?

    Probably not.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Cynthia Holloway?

The woman who narrates the Kim Harrison Rachel Morgan series would have made this less painful to listen to.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story had so much potential, but didn't go anywhere. The main characters had potential but did nothing with it.

  • Alanna: The First Adventure: Song of the Lioness Quartet #1:

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Tamora Pierce
    • Narrated By Trini Alvarado

Becoming a legend is not easy, as young Alanna of Trebond discovers when she disguises herself as a boy and begins training to be a knight. Alanna's skills and stubborness help her befriend Prince Jonathan and alienate his evil uncle, Duke Roger. Filled with swords and sorcery, adventure and intrigue, good and evil, this book is a rousing introduction to the intensely satisfying story of Alanna.

Crystal says: "Amazing narrator for an amazing book"
"A great start to an amazing series"

This book is recommended for 12 year olds and above but it also appeals to the young woman we are or have been. We go through all the troubles and trials with Alanna and end up cheering and shouting her on. If you have not read any books by Tamora Pierce I recommend you start with this series and go from there but if you are willing to be confused about people mentioned that are unknown to you, you can start anywhere. I highly recommend this book, but above all the author. Please give her a try, her books get better and better and are all highly addictive. Enjoy!

  • Living Dead in Dallas: Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mystery #2

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Charlaine Harris
    • Narrated By Johanna Parker

After an unfortunate incident, Sookie finds herself beholden to a group of Louisiana vampires. So she agrees to travel to Dallas with her undead boyfriend Bill and track down a missing vamp, but only if the vampires promise to let local humans go unharmed.

Jessica says: "enjoyed it but was not in love with it"

I have heard a lot about these books and tried the first one and loved it. I got the second one, thinking it wouldn't be as good..... and it was! I am now totally addicted and am going slowly mad waiting for my credits so I can find out what happens to Sookie next. I love the narrator and I'm glad she is southern, it makes Sookie real.
