This was the first book I've read/listened to by OSC and now I see what all the hype is about! I loved every minute of this book and as soon as I finished it, I immediately listened to its sequel (Ruins), which was also amazing. And now I'm dying for the next one to come out.
The story focuses on Rigg, who although is only a boy, is a very mature and likable main character. OSC walks the reader through much of Rigg's thoughts, but it was never boring. The story itself is also very interesting. It combines elements of fantasy and science fiction. And OSC handles the time travel elements in a new and clever manner. It's not very fast-paced as most of the story deals with the main characters exploring their time abilities, but that in itself was interesting enough to keep me engaged from start to finish.
