I love this entire family of men and their Mom. As a mother of three grown sons of my own their relationships ring true. The women in the series are strong. The author really allows you to get to know all the characters in a meaningful way. I can't wait for the next book to see if Hope and Ryder will finally get together. Great narrator too.!
Pretty good story,I think. The scenes change so abruptly it was sometimes hard to know what was happening. The main plot line about a young cowboy in love had nothing to do with Cities of the Plain. The reader was excellent.
Beautiful writing about growing up in a turbulent time in the South. Family drama, social commentary, and a charming child make this book a just read. Excellent narrator
Thanks to this author for her tenacety in finding the true story of Henrietta Lacks. Her search for the story behind these cells that have made such a difference in medical research takes many twist and turns. A great true story and an interesting read.
I have enjoyed every minute if the Irish Country Doctor series by Patrick Taylor. I will say that this was my least favorite of all the books but evem with that said, I still loved it.It was great to have a backstory on the lovable houskeeper, Kinky Kencaid. I also would have preferred that the same narrator had read this book. It was a little disconderting for Kinky to have a new voice. Thank you Mr. Taylor for many hours of enjoyment.
I did enjoy this book but it was not one of my favoritesl. The reader was good and the story was intriguing but there were sometimes when the narritive was a little confusing.
yes I would
The battle between good and evil while a clasic story line, it is always intriguing.
exciting, insiteful and fun
a fun listen. entertaining.
A wonderful tale read by an amazing reader!
I lived Rose for her perseverance.
They were all great.
I definitely would have if could. Could not wait to get back to the story each day.
Buy this book.
Finding out the answers to the mystery surrounding the cosmetics girl was the most iinteresting part of the story . Also the insite into the small town lives of that period. I thought the story overall good but somehow the tellin of it was meandering and a little slow.
The ending wad satisfying but not surprising at all.
She could have been more southern
I did enjoy the book but I bought it on a recommendation from audible and had looked forward to it with an anticipation that was somewhat disappointed.
It might take a little to get into this story but once you do It's a very entertaining tale.
