Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer - even her closest friends. Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever seen: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor....

James Patterson became a quick favorite when I began to read the Alex Cross series, then I discovered the Women's Murder Club and I started from the beginning. The first books in the WMC series were very thought out and detailed. In the 11th Hour things felt rushed, the two crime story lines did not mesh well. I would rather wait longer for a book release and enjoy the quality of the work instead of spending time and money on a work that I don't find enjoyable and may cause to delay purchasing new books or not reading at all.

When Arlene Fleet heads up north for college, she makes three promises to God: She will stop fornicating with every boy who crosses her path; never tell another lie; and never, ever go back to the "fourth rack of hell", her hometown of Possett, Alabama. All she wants from Him is one little miracle: make sure the body is never found.

Where does Gods in Alabama rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'm from the South, Alabama in fact and I loved this book. The Help is my new favorite and this falls into a close second. The story is so engaging and funny at all the right times. I love a story that can make you laugh, cry and appreciate family and this book did all three.

    Any additional comments?

Ms. Jackson has found a place in heart and in my audible collection. I am making my way through all of her works and I have yet to be disappointed.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Kirby's smug attitude and voice almost killed this audio book for me.

Was Where We Belong worth the listening time?

I don't say this often, but I would have preferred reading the book. The audio version left me irritated.

    Any additional comments?

With other Emily Giffin books I have been excited to recommend them to friends to read. However, this book left me feeling empty, wanting more. Without spoiling the book for others I'll just say that this book did not end wrapped up with a pretty little bow, or with the clue/hint of a second book. Not cool!

Would you consider the audio edition of Catch Me to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Catch Me?

When the bells and whistles went off in my head and I figured out who the killer was. Very exciting twist.

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't, but if I see her listed as the narrator, I will be more inclined to listen.

    Any additional comments?

The only thing that I didn't like about this book was that Jessie's story was not fully developed, I don't like to be left wondering.

Despite the danger and uncertainty, Haller mounts the best defense of his career in a trial where the last surprise comes after the verdict is in.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

For some people I know it's hard to listen to a book and work. For me this keeps me on track, and I don't have to listen to the hysterics of my coworkers. This book totally grabbed me and I listened to every word carefully as not to miss a thing. The subject was relevant to current events and made me more aware of the other side of things that you don't see on TV regarding foreclosures. So the time listening was very well spent.

If you’ve listened to books by Michael Connelly before, how does this one compare?

Mickey Haller is my kind of guy and after seeing the Lincoln lawyer with Matthew McConaughey I can picture him when I'm reading the books and that's a great picture.

Could you see The Fifth Witness being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes, Yes, and Yes. Matthew McConaughey should continue to play Mickey. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Matthew and Marisa Tomei.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book and the characters were multidimensional. The ending was so unexpected, but oh so good!

But he's also made it clear that once their son Matthew graduates high school, he will be filing for divorce. Charlotte, on the other hand, continues to do everything possible to make amends in hopes of saving their marriage. Unfortunately, Curtis is ready to move on and is being propositioned by a woman who desperately wants to become the next Mrs. Black.

I am a long time fan of Mrs. Roby, and I have read all of her books. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed. Curtis Black is no ordinary minister and his wife is not your average first lady. This book never grasped my full attention and the characters were "boring". I kept waiting for something, anything to happen, and it didn't. By the time the book wrapped up I was bitter. I wasted a credit on this. It happens to the best of us. I expected more and felt that this book was rushed. I expected more from the Black family and this seem like a formula that has already been used. Sorry Kimberla, you lost me with this one.

If you could sum up The Witness in three words, what would they be?

    Engaging, dreamy, Striking

What did you like best about this story?

The history of the characters, you didn't have to guess, all the questions were answered. That's always great. Sometimes you need more, this was everything I needed in one book.

Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan – was your favorite?

Abigal was my favorite, but I enjoyed all of the characters. I will definitely look for other performances by this narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was emotionally attached to this book from chapter one. Some books are not very engaging in the beginning they have to get there. Not The Witness, it covered all grounds and had me from the start.

    Any additional comments?

This was my first Nora Roberts book. I read a lot of reviews before selecting this novel, I will go back and listen to or read some of her earlier works based on my satisfaction with this book.
