  • Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 9 mins)

Why we think it’s a great listen: Want to join the “superhumans”? Luckily you don’t have to run to catch up with them, thanks to McDougall’s and Sanders’ inspiring (and motivating) journey through history, science, physiology, health, entertaining characters and unlikely friendships. Full of incredible characters, amazing athletic achievements, cutting-edge science, and, most of all, pure inspiration, Born to Run is an epic adventure.

Corey says: "Amazing read - even for non-runners"
    "Insightful and inspiring"
    Overall

Great book. Interesting insights on what running is to men and women. Great inspiration to achieveing one's goals and never giving up. I felt particularly identified with the story as my grandfather was born in Batopilas, Chihuahua.

  • The Sleeping Doll: A Novel

Ten years ago in California, Daniel Pell, a self-styled Charles Manson, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering an entire family: husband, wife, and two children, plus one of his young male followers. He is brought to Salinas, California, to interview with Kathryn Dance after he is implicated in yet another killing. Things go terribly wrong during an interview break, and Pell escapes, intent on killing again.

    Paige says: "A decent listen"
    "Slow and boring"
    Overall

I love Jeffery Deaver novels. This was the exception. To many unessesary twists. The plot unfolds very slowly to the point of being boring. The reader did not help to deliver any sense of suspense or action. I waited all along to learn about the sleeping doll who barely appears and provides a single clue to the mistery. In summ I don't recomend this book
