"Very Entertaining and Enlightening"
This is definitely in the top 3 of my audiobooks
I would compare this to Start With Why because they are both aimed at entrepreneurial minded people
I would have loved to listen to this in one sitting. I couldn't get enough
Great book and so glad I listened to it
"Just Okay...Get 30 Min Summary"
Best - focusing on what people can do in regards to teaching character development in schools
Least - don't go off on tangents. Are we focusing on character development, or poverty?
The case studies were good but what can we learn from them? Seemed more like storytelling.
Stop. Mimicking. Characters. He would use a different voice for the students he talked about which was extremely distracting.
I wouldn't mind a documentary version of this because of how many different stories there were.
Overall a bit disappointed in the book. I suggest getting the 30 minute summary
"Lean in...to this book!"
The entire story! Sheryl was open and authentic, honest and forthright. She gave us information about her path as well as suggestions for how women can do it better. An official favorite.
Highly recommended, for women AND men.
"How to Be a Villain, Narrated by Severus Snape"
There were some practical laws, for good & evil doers
He sounded like he would cue evil laughter at any moment
How to Be a Villain
Pretty good book. Check your motives before reading/listening
"Why You Need to Use Social Media Correctly"
Yes only because you truly hear the author's enthusiasm. I think hearing his voice made me like the book even more. It also helped that he would go "off script" sometimes.
I loved when he analyzed the Old Spice social media campaign and where they succeeded and where they dropped the ball. I thought I was the only one who noticed.
Enthusiastic, unabridged yet had some extra add-ins every now & then.
I chuckled a few times, but no "extreme" reaction.
Really solid book with great case studies.
"A Must-Read for Any Entrepreneur"
Yes, I think it should be revisited (no pun intended) at least annually to keep you on your toes.
When the author started telling his own story.
He had true passion in what he wrote and it showed in his performance
Yes! I listened to it in 2 sittings, but if I had time, I would've listened in one
"I was expecting a little more"
Just Get Started
It was nice to know the different businesses and startups people have. Lots of testimonials and case studies
I would've liked it better if Chris narrated the whole thing. Thomas' voice just didn't pack the same punch.
If you have the Empire Building Kit, really all you need from this book is the overall key points
"Solid Book"
Ch. 1: Value Creation & Ch. 4: Value Delivery
It's always nice to hear the author narrate the book.
It was nice that the book journeyed into other disciplines, such as psychology, since it plays a big role in business. I agree; don't spend tens of thousands (or hundreds of thousands) on MBA debt. Just get some good books, a good notebook, and learn from experience.
"Must Read Book"
There were clear sections for husbands and wives specifically and how each could show their partner how they love and/or respect them.
It provided a lot of examples from real couples.
It was nice to hear the actual author reading his own work, so I didn't have to guess where emphasis should have been added.
I didn't realize it was the abridged version, so reading along to the Kindle book was hard (I'd have to stop for sections the author skipped over). Would love the unabridged version and for it to be Whisper-Sync ready.
"Very Good Book for Any Relationship"
A very good book about the insight of relationships. Top 10%.
I don't remember the names, but one woman left her long time boyfriend after having enough of their emotionally abusive relationship. She went on to marry someone who was secure. Her story stuck out because of how much she went through and how long she stayed, but she was still able to find true love.
"A Look into Imperfection"
This book wasn't pretentious at all. It was so...me!
We're all perfect just how we are
Brene opened up herself to us and readers immediately see ourselves in her. I now see how I am and how I thought I was supposed to be, know how to change certain things, and can go on living being happy with who I am.
