I did make it through the entire audio. Then asked myself why I did. Just not that good. Very cookie cutter. Narrator seemed bored reading it as I was listening to it. I've enjoyed Childs books, was hoping to enjoy this one. The concept could have been good. It is almost like it was written by someone trying to copy Child's style but missing the mark by a mile.
With not much character development, we are supposed to enjoy the tired clichés of characters.
I feels like a tired movie script.
Don't get me wrong here. I Love Evanovich. Why she put her name to this book I do not know. The female character is weak and not likable. All the characters go from scene to scene with out us really caring about the characters. The idea is like an Oceans 11, but that relies on the likability of the characters. I did not like the characters.
Do not spend your $$ on this book. Not worth it.
Love, love, love, this book. Naration excellent. Story excellent. So unexpected, yet very Christopher Moore. Absolutely worth the $$ and more importantly worth the time.
This story meanders like a wonderful trail in the forest. You meander through the life of this boy and are engaged with where his life is leading. Naration was good and I enjoyed listening.
I will listen to this book again. One of those books you listen to now and then a year later listen again and find layers of the story you missed the first time.
I really enjoyed this book. The story was belivable and King brought the creepy!
Sometimes horrible, sometimes funny, the story weaves in upon itself to provide a good ride. Certainly not a book where the ending is expected.
