Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, takes on a case as a favor to his friend Thomas - a vampire of dubious integrity - only to become the prime suspect in a series of ghastly murders.

Karin W. says: "another terrific installment in the series..."
    "I LOVE this series!"
    Overall

Jim Butcher is a great writer, I've enjoyed all of his books thus far.
And James Marsters who reads the books is equally as fantastic. It took me a while to get used to the sighing and deep breaths, etc, but after I did and realized it is just part of the main character Harry's persona I loved it.
It is hard for me to stick to only buying one book per month and not zooming through the whole series as fast as I can!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Teddy says: "Demented, twisted, sick and I loved it!"
"I've never hated characters in a book so much..."

Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

But I guess that was the point. I mean..wow. Both of the readers were great, and I usually don't care for books that have more than one. The author is something else, clearly a great mind to think of all the plotting going on.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

    "I finally stopped listening..."

The first of the three books took me about ten hours to really get into the storyline. The author is so detail oriented which I've enjoyed in his other books, but this series is NOT even coming close to par.
The second book I made myself listen to and thought it was okay. If I start a series I like to finish it so I know how it ends.
This is the third book and two hours from the end I could care less if I finish. In fact I've gone over a month and haven't listened to it. Finally to finish it up, I've set my ipod audiobook speed on fast so I can at least hear how it ends.
Long. Drawn out. Boring. Very disappointing.

An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.

Luke A. Reynolds says: "Stupendous, but be warned."
"Without a doubt one of the best books!"
    Overall

What else can I say? The subject line pretty much sums it up for me. I was cracking up within minutes of beginning the book. The narrator was fantastic - not too overly done or underdone with the different characters. He's got great tonation and ability to differientiate between characters easily.
The storyline was well written. I don't yet know if there is a follow up or not to this story, but I sure hope that there is. Even if there isn't I will be listening to more books by this author and narrator.

To save the lives of her friends, Rachel did the unthinkable: she willingly trafficked in forbidden demon magic. And now her sins are coming home to haunt her. As Rachel searches for the truth behind a terrifying murder, an even greater menace threatens, for the demon Algaliarept will stop at nothing to claim her, and the discovery of a shocking family secret throws Rachel's entire life into question.

Jaclyn A Rupert says: "Narrrator: 1 star, Story 5 stars!"
    "Talk about a total let-down!"
    Overall

I LOVE this series. It has been great to listen to, until this new reader came along. I feel like she's totally changed Ivy into this oversexed vampire who only cares about getting into the pants of every man. In the previous books she is much more reserved and scared.
Ciri (or however you spell the female elf's name) doesn't seem the same at all. Jenks? Are you freaking kidding me?
    And Rachel..OMG. What a disappointment!
Over all - book is a 5, reading is a 0.5. I am so disappointed!
